Itinerario
Comience su experiencia de explorar la Patagonia tan pronto como su crucero atraque en Puerto Madryn. Encuéntrenos y aborde un vehículo cómodo y moderno. Disfruta de un breve recorrido por la ciudad para conocer su historia mientras te diriges a la Colonia de los Pingüinos.
Nuestra primera parada es la réplica del Patagotitan Mayorum, el dinosaurio más grande del mundo descubierto hasta la fecha. Aprenderemos todo sobre el pasado, cuando los dinosaurios reinaban sobre esta región. Aprovecharemos esta parada para tomar algunas fotografías antes de volver a salir a la carretera, en dirección sur.
Comienza la aventura acompañado de un guía turístico que nos ayudará a interpretar el entorno. Manténgase alerta, especialmente cuando se conduce por un camino de grava estéril, la reserva encierra especies únicas como Guanacos (Lamas), Patagonia Rabbit, Lesser Rhea, Grey Wolf, entre otros.
Punta Tombo es una de las reservas más pintorescas de la provincia del Chubut, mezclando el profundo mar azul con las rocas volcánicas rojas del período Jurásico. Allí, nos sumergiremos en el mundo de los Pingüinos de Magallanes a lo largo de un sendero de 3 kilómetros (ida y vuelta) para observarlos y caminar entre ellos. Si la naturaleza lo permite y nos mantenemos atentos al paisaje, podemos avistar maravillosas especies patagónicas como Guanacos, Guisantes Menores (Choiques), Maras y Tinamous Crestas Elegantes (Martinetas), entre otros. Después de completar la ruta, tendrá tiempo libre para disfrutar del almuerzo en 'DeliStore' o hacer un picnic si ha traído su propio almuerzo o bocadillos. Mientras viajamos por los caminos de grava, el safari continúa por tierra, usted podría ser admirado por guanacos cruzando el paisaje patagónico. Después de un día lleno de naturaleza en su forma más pura, regresa a Puerto Madryn y déjate fuera del muelle a tiempo.

Punta Tombo Reserve is a very fabulous place. Our guide Mariano was excellent and highly recommend him. After visiting Volunteer Point in the Falklands, we had low expectations for this tour, however the sheer beauty of the reserve, the ability to watch the penguins up close was amazing. Also we were able to see them play and fish in the water. Other local animals and birds were also plentiful in the reserve. We were on a cruise ship, we were able to beat the numerous shore excursion buses and vans and had a very relaxed uncrowded experience

We did this from a cruise ship and the communication was great with the tour operator (Dos Oceanos). Tour guide was easy to find at the end of the dock. The guide was very conscious about making sure we were back in time for the ship departure. The 2.5 hour drive (each way) was worth it. There were lots of penguins to see - they are everywhere. We also saw baby guanacos.

This was a wonderful trip to see the penguins. It was much better to take this tour than the one offered by the cruise line. Much quicker to get there. We basically had a private tour. Not sure if that is always the case. Our guide was terrific.

Great experience, I would recommend going on this trip in December when more penguin are still there. We went on March 9, 2025 and most of the penguins were gone. Our driver was awesome and he gave use alot of Information about everything of the area.

Great tour to see penguins. Tour guide was great also. Only downside is that we waited for over an hour for 2 people that never came, so we had 1 less hour with the penguins. Taking into account that we only had 2 hours to see penguins, 1 hour would make a big difference. They could have a better system for people who do not show. But the tour itself was awesome.

Our guide was waiting for us at the end of the pier. We thought we might be part of a small group but we’re delighted to discover it was just the two of us. The car was functional rather than luxurious bit we got to Punta Tombo ahead of the coach crowds which was a huge bonus. Our guide was knowledgable and fun. We had a great trip and saw thousands of penguins. At our request he dropped us back in town so we could explore before boarding the ship in plenty of time before we set sail. It’s a two hour drive across barren land to the nature reserve but worth it to be so close to the penguins and to learn all about them.
