Este es un impresionante ciclo guiado de medio día que te permite experimentar el increíble paisaje costero del Camino Atlántico Salvaje. El recorrido le llevará por promontorios y playas salvajes a través de la exuberante y verde campiña irlandesa. Verás vacas pastando en los campos y cultivos como el maíz brillando y meciéndose con la brisa. Comenzamos en el Museo Lusitania/Old Head Signal Tower con vistas a Old Head Gold Links, el puerto de Cork y la hermosa zona de West Cork. Recorreremos dos playas en bicicleta antes de hacer una parada en un pub irlandés tradicional en el pueblo de Ballinspittle. Aquí disfrutaremos de un té/café o un refresco antes de regresar en bicicleta a través de paisajes más impresionantes hasta nuestro punto de partida. El recorrido implica andar en bicicleta por un terreno moderadamente montañoso. Es adecuado para parejas, grupos y familias con niños mayores. Para grupos, la ruta exacta del recorrido se puede adaptar a sus necesidades. Las bicicletas y bicicletas eléctricas se entregan con casco y chaleco reflectante.

¡Nuestro punto de encuentro! Se trata de un pequeño museo, ubicado en una antigua torre de vigilancia. Hay una pequeña cafetería y baños.
Mientras pedaleamos, seguimos parte de la Wild Atlantic Way, una ruta señalizada de 2.600 km (1.600 millas) a lo largo de la costa de Irlanda. Esta ruta ha sido seleccionada para seguir los mejores paisajes y experiencias culturales e históricas de la zona.
Pedalearemos junto a esta playa salvaje, disfrutando a menudo de ver gente nadando y practicando otros deportes acuáticos como surf y kitesurf.
Pararemos para tomar un té/café o un refresco en un pub del colorido pueblo de Ballinspittle. Hay una taberna al aire libre donde podemos sentarnos si hace buen tiempo.
El tiempo restante lo dedicaremos en bicicleta por el campo.
Terminaremos nuestro recorrido de regreso al punto de partida en Old Head of Kinsale. ¿Por qué no visitar el museo y visitar la terraza de la azotea para disfrutar de más vistas impresionantes de la zona?

We try to get out of the touristy areas and see some countryside and ebikes are a great way to do it. Ruth was a great guide taking us along some rural roads and explaining some of the local lifestyle. The bikes were well maintained, easy to use. Even though you will see some local traffic, the Irish are accustomed to safely maneuvering around walkers and bikers and Ruth was great at giving us instructions when and where we needed to pull off for traffic. Highly recommend Ruth and this bike trip.

Ruth was extremely helpful with getting our bikes booked and ready, she is so responsive to emails and was on hand on the phone when needed. The bikes were excellent quality and perfect for a cycle along the coastline - E bikes recommend for those hills ! The views were stunning and Ruth recommended the perfect route. We booked the e-bikes for three 50-something aged couples of mixed biking/athletic ability. The “pedal assist” bikes were easy to use and made the tour struggle free for everyone. I hadn’t rode a bike in 40 years, but all of my nerves dissipated minutes after I started riding. Our tour guide, Ruth, was amazing. She took us along the coast, through a forest, and along scenic back roads. Her historical and cultural knowledge of the area is unmatched. Most of all, Ruth was patient and kept us safe on the bikes and roads. Our stop at the cafe gave us time to enjoy truly delicious scones, tea and cappuccino, as well as breath taking views of beaches and the water. I highly recommend making this tour part of your itinerary if you are visiting the Kinsale area. Worth every penny, and you will feel like you accomplished some real physical activity, even though the bikes are set to do all the “work” for you if you want them to.
