Itinerario

It was a real pleasure being guided by Humphrey through Mombasa. There was no question he couldn't answer. We had a wonderful time visiting eaxh part of the old town, old market and Fort Jesus. Humphrey has a vast knowledge of the local history and being a local is able to give you a really detailed informatiin about smallest curiosities found along the way. Maximum respect and endless thanks!
Humphrey was excellent and very knowledgeable about the history of Fort Jesus and Mombasa as a whole. I would highly recommend if you're interested in history and historical sites to book this experience and ask for Humphrey. The spice market could be hectic but they had excellent products and explained the use of each product we sampled. The elephant tusks were not exciting to us and we could have gone without seeing it (especially with kids asking for money) but if you like photo finishes then the last location might be your scene.
He is engaging and well informed. He is also vibrant and ensured we were served well wherever we went. Also good with photos. Highly recommend him and will refer to other friends
We took an afternoon Walking Tour through Old Town Mombasa and Fort Jesus led by Humphrey (Humphrey Ndungu Tours). It was an extremely pleasant and informative tour. He is very knowledgeable about Mombasa history and Fort Jesus history. He gladly accommodated our interest in spending additional time in the spice market and helped in negotiating purchases from vendors. He is an enthusiastic guide who clearly wants his clients to enjoy their tour. And at the end of the tour he recommended a very nice restaurant on the water where we could see the sunset and arranged our transportation to it and back to our hotel. We highly recommend Humphrey’s tours!
Humphrey gave excellent communication prior to the tour, and was very kindly flexible with timings for me. The tour was very informative and Humphrey clearly knows so much about all the history! I feel like in a fairly short time I was able to learn a lot about Mombasa and see many things.
I had a great time exploring old town Mombasa with Antony. I booked this experience the day before arriving to beat my jet lag and get a lay of the city. I had originally planned to meet with Humphrey, but he was sick so instead of cancelling, he arranged for another experienced tour guide, Antoni, to meet me for my tour. I really appreciated that level of care. Antoni was insanely knowledgeable about the history of Mombasa. We toured Fort Jesus together, then saw historical sites in the old city, walked through the busy streets of new Mombasa to arrive at the spice and vegetable market, traveled to a Hindu temple, and then Antony arranged for us to end our walking tour back at my hotel. It was a great day, and I learned so much. What I really appreciated was Antony’s storytelling, connecting the history of Mombasa to current events. As a solo traveling woman, I felt safe the entire journey. Thank you so much for hosting me, Humphrey and Antony!
We had an amazing experience with Humphrey during our Fort Jesus and Old Town tour in Mombasa. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the history and culture of the area. He explained everything in such an engaging way and made the tour both educational and enjoyable. Humphrey was also patient, professional, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour. We learned so much about Fort Jesus and the rich heritage of Old Town that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting Mombasa and looking for a great tour guide experience!
We met Humphrey at Fort Jesus at the designated time. We then toured the fort for about an hour. Humphrey is engaging and clearly knowledgeable about the history of the fort. We took our time and walked through and around what I would call the 5 parts of it. Entire tour of the fort took about an hour. Very impressed with Humphrey and his story telling of this world heritage site. We ended the tour at that point as we had taken another tour that included the places that Humphrey was suppose to take us on next. Humphrey suggested another option for us, but we opted not to do that. Anyway, I don’t think you’d find a better guide to take this tour with. Definitely recommend Humphrey as I’m sure it would have been a pleasure to have done the 4 hour tour with him.
Humphrey is a good guide and knows a lot. Very friendly! He made the trip very interesting Even though it was a warm day.
Had a very nice tour with Humphrey. He was very knowledgeable about the area and would recommend him. We would have got lost if we went on our own.
