We had a magical day with Gonzalo of Ando Andes tour company. He is the very best. A true ambassador of his country. Knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and took very good care of us. We feel we have a new friend in Chile. At the end of our glorious day he surprised us with a wine and cheese platter overlooking the mountains! Incredible experience we will never ever forget him and his generous kind nature.
Thank you so much for your beautiful words! We’re thrilled to hear that your day with Gonzalo was such a memorable and meaningful experience. He truly is a wonderful guide and ambassador of our mountains, and we’ll make sure he knows how much you appreciated his care and energy. We’re very happy that the surprise picnic made the day even more special. Moments like these are exactly what we love to create. Thank you for choosing us — and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Chile!
Our guide Andres was so knowledgeable and passionate about his environment and Mattius our driver expertly navigated some pretty rough terrain in deteriorating weather Our climb was cut short but Andres guided and advised us wisely as we experienced nature’s unpredictability in the Andes and he always had a plan B up his sleeve The hot springs were fantastic - the change area is rustic so set your expectations accordingly but it is more than worth it to sit in silence on the edge of these natural mineral rich pools with snow falling surrounded by such spectacular scenery - a once in a lifetime The sun came out as we had a delightful picnic and wine surrounded by wildlife and a view of the volcano A plan B walk to an impressive waterfall was an added bonus Altogether a beautifully immersive and spontaneous day in a spectacular landscape with an outstanding crew
My husband and I loved this tour! Our tour guide, Rai, was very knowledgeable and kind. The second guide, who also drove the tour van, was also very nice. The hike was not difficult but I am overly-cautious when walking on uneven terrain as I have a bad knee but the guides were extremely gracious and made sure that we made it through safely. The valley we hiked to was beautiful and the hot springs were fun. The guides stopped at a gas station for a quick bite to eat and bathroom break en route which was a nice surprise.
My sister in law and I (in our mid 40’s) went on this tour. We were picked up by 2 young, bilingual guides Francisco and Elias. They were awesome! We picked up 3 more people and drive to an awesome local joint about an hour outside the city. We were able to order coffee and breakfast there while they packed our lunch. The food was awesome and they were very accommodating to my vegetarian diet. We then drive another hour into the mountains, the guides were very informative and pointed out all the sights. We did a short hike to a waterfall. Then drive a few mins more to the hiking spot (a goat farm) where they let me play with the goats. We hiked about an hour. They offer walking sticks. I would rate this hike a little above beginner. It has some steep moments but not bad. We took pics in a meadow and relaxed, ate lunch. Hiked back to the car (3.8 miles) the guides were really attentive to my SIL she is not an experienced hiker. We then drove another 15 mins to the hot springs. We were there for about an hour. Soaking and relaxing. Then we drove back to the restaurant about an hour. They had wine and lite bites waiting for us. Then another hour home. It was a perfect day. I would say this- bring a wind jacket, a hat, sunblock, bathing suit and towel. I forgot my jacket and the guide Francisco gave me one of his. Do this!!!
