Best female guide i ever met I went to Berastagi with my bf And arrange the trip with her Windy is highly recommend
Wiwin (Windy) is a unique woman and guide. I spent four days with her, both in Berastagi and in the Lake Toba area. Not only does Windy have a wide range of knowledge about the local area and the Batak people, she has a wonderful sense of humor, is extremely easy-going and flexible and made my time in North Sumatra truly special. But there’s more. I came down with an extreme stomach problem and was unable to help myself. Windy immediately jumped into action and brought me to a nearby clinic where I was treated immediately. Had she not been there, I don't know what I would have done. I have traveled for many years and have been with guides all over the world. I can honestly say Windy was amongst the very best, and I look forward to returning to Sumatra soon to hire her again. Highly recommended!
I had an absolutely brilliant experience on the Sibayak tour, made even better by my wonderful guide, Vitri. From the moment we started, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of positive energy, making the hike both enjoyable and memorable. The track was a great adventure with stunning views along the way and reaching the summit in time to enjoy the incredible scenery was truly worth it. Vitri shared interesting local insights, kept the atmosphere fun with plenty of laughs and always made sure everyone was comfortable and motivated. The tour was well organised, great value for money and had the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. If you're visiting North Sumatra and considering a trip to Mount Sibayak, I couldn't recommend it more and if you get Vitri as your guide, you're in for a real treat!
My partner and I did a sunrise hike up Mount Sibayek with Fitri. The hike was so much fun and we highly recommend it. Fitri was very knowledgeable about the area, the mountain, and was great company throughout. She made the day! On the way back down the mountain we went to the hotel springs to relax. If you are in Berastagi, this is a must-do activity with a great guide. One note, The climb is not dangerous, but may be difficult for elderly people or those with young children. We felt extremely safe with our guide throughout.
What an amazing tour and what a beautiful personality my Guide Fitri is. She told me so much about the sights we visited but also About the region, the people and the city. Her enthusiastic personality is the I icing on top of the tour. In enjoyed every minute of the tour. I wish you and Windy all the best. The future guest , I took this tour because it showed more of the area. The waterfall in the monkey forest and golden temple added for me value to the trip. Don’t forget to pack warm and bring some water with you and just follow one of the ladies en enjoy
We climbed the volcano this morning together with our guide Beatrite (I hope it is spelled correctly). Beatrite was very accommodating, joyful and helpful. We felt very attentive to her and received a lot of information. It was a great experience! Besides, her English was great. Thanks again for the nice morning! 😊
Best female guide ever!! In 20 years of traveling and 40 different countries I’ve never had a better guide! A strong woman who speaks fluent English and knows everything about the volcano and the surrounding areas. The whole hike she was collecting trash to protect the environment, she knows all of the local people in the area, she’s super friendly, and I felt really safe with her all day. I highly recommend any solo female traveler, couples or friends, book with this wonderful woman!
I first met Windy when she was my tour guide over 10 years ago, and I especially remember her enthusiasm and energy. On my return to the area, it's great to see she now has her own tour guide business. Windy also showed me the local farmland and lesser know sights around her hometown of Berastagi. The countryside is so beautiful here. She shares aspects of local culture I wouldn't normally see as a tourist. Windy is so comfortable speaking English, which really makes everything so easy. I will certainly return to North Sumatra again.
