We were welcomed very warmly by Justus, who spoke perfect German. He told us very exciting stories about diamond cutting and the various quality criteria and patiently answered all questions. We were allowed to admire some real stones and watch the diamond cutters at work. The tour was an absolute highlight of our stay in Amsterdam!
Anas was a wonderful informative non pressuring guide which has meant I am planning to return in the future with my husband to purchase and make changes to current jewellery. I will highly recommend this tour (i think i selected the right one above). The only thing that didnt go smoothly was our check in for the tour on arrival and we receuved a call 15-30mins after leaving RC asking if we were still intending to attend and saying we were late for out 10am slot which we had already been on time for and completed.
Really over expectations, the visit, the explanations and so on. Simone had a lot of empaty and he was really a PRO. Finding someboby with your mother language is surely ad added value.
We booked the Diamond Experience Tour at Royal Coster Diamonds for Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 5:15 pm and paid €19 per person in advance. Unfortunately, our visit got off to a very disappointing start. Although we had a valid reservation and arrived around 10 minutes before the tour was due to begin, the staff at the entrance could not find our booking. Despite showing our booking confirmation, we had to spend a considerable amount of time discussing the issue. The employee even took a photo of our booking confirmation with his personal phone before finally allowing us to enter. What was even more disappointing was the tour itself. The experience was scheduled to last until 5:15 pm, but at 5:00 pm we were told that the building was closing and that we had to leave. As a result, we were unable to complete the full tour we had paid for. The tour itself was also extremely underwhelming. At €19 per person, we expected far more. It was very short, contained only limited information, and offered little real value. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is very poor—the Diamond Experience is simply not worth €19. We had expected a professional and well-organized experience from such a renowned company. Instead, we encountered poor organization and felt that the service we had paid for was not fully delivered. For these reasons, we cannot recommend the Diamond Experience and would certainly not book it again. We will not recommend it to our friends or family either and would advise other visitors to look for a better alternative.
Dear Christian, Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the experience you describe. This is not the standard we hold ourselves to. We are looking into the check-in issue you encountered and the early closing that cut your tour short, and we take both concerns seriously. We have also contacted you directly by email to follow up and make this right. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back for a better experience. Kind regards, Anas - Royal Coster Diamonds
Great activity for something different to do. Enjoyed it very and Patricia was very delightful. I love their special cut.
