Este parque es uno de los más antiguos de Almaty, donde se encuentra la Catedral de la Santa Ascensión (la catedral en pie más antigua de Almaty), que es el edificio más emblemático de la ciudad. En el parque también verás el memorial de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y el de la Guerra de Afganistán, dedicado a la memoria de los combatientes que murieron por la libertad y la independencia del país.
La siguiente parada será Zelenyi Bazar (Green Bazar). Históricamente hablando, este bazar atrajo a la gente de la ciudad por las compras de comestibles, el comercio y los chismes de la ciudad. Hoy, Green Bazar es un lugar obligado para visitar en Almaty. Productos frescos, auténticos platos kazajos, frutas secas y, por supuesto, carne son solo algunas de las razones para experimentar este auténtico lugar.
La calle Arbat es la principal calle comercial de Almaty que se explora mejor a pie. Mientras camina, puede ver una diversidad de áreas comerciales y restaurantes. Although it was hot, the tour was really enjoyable, interesting and informative. The tour guide certainly knew his stuff and provided a wealth of historical and cultural information about Almaty and Kazakhstan in general. Also, there was interesting info provided on the sites and streets that we saw. I am glad we attended this tour.
Beautiful city. It was the capital. Picturesque and nostalgic .Beautiful parks and walks. Orthodox churches. Nice typical restaurants. There's the chocolate factory where you can shop and the instrument museum
Guide was able to really provide solid informed information about the history across all aspects. It was a good introduction to the country and helped pull the threads together from my visit to the museum. He made this a personalised tour and we covered quite a lot of highlights! This is good if you don’t have a lot of time or want to take a deeper dive into history and key differences in culture and some regions of Kazakhstan!
Great introduction to Almaty! Chingis was an excellent guide - he introduced us to the history, architecture and culture of the city. Although an Almaty local, his English was flawless. We would highly recommend this tour!
Chingis was my tour guide & was in a small group. Chingis was very good at explaining the history & was very knowledgeable. The Cathedral was very interesting & getting to see amazing architecture. We got to see Kazakhstan army practicing their drill. The statues were amazing. There is so much history I learnt. I would highly recommend this tour !
