Visitar el Museo del Vino de la Bodega Frrud equivale a hacer un viaje en el tiempo a través de siglos de historia en los que el vino es el elemento constante y donde el conocimiento del pasado se mezcla con la experiencia inmersiva en los sabores del presente a través de la degustación de nuestros vinos maridados con quesos locales y embutidos. Museo del vino El proyecto Frrud Winery nació hace aproximadamente 3 años del sueño de dos jóvenes de la ciudad de Altamura. Los términos que pueden describirlos son ciertamente pasión y determinación; La pasión por creer firmemente en el potencial de nuestra tierra y la determinación no solo es preservar, sino también recuperar un lugar de gran importancia histórica, devolverlo a la ciudad y, sobre todo, dejarlo para las generaciones futuras. Los dos jóvenes, Paolo Colonna y Donato Scalera no nacieron como expertos en vinos, pero la fuerte pasión que los une por su tierra y especialmente por la recuperación de los lugares antiguos del área local, los empuja a embarcarse en este proyecto. Un compromiso que requirió más de un año de arduo trabajo, en el que el interés común era sacar a la luz con la mayor fidelidad posible, todos los objetos que se habían conservado en los 70 años de inactividad de la estructura. Esto nos ha permitido dar vida a objetos con más de 100 años de historia y hacer de la bodega un lugar donde el paso de hombres y generaciones que literalmente han vivido esos lugares, esos objetos, es evidente y tangible. La historia, la pasión y el sueño se materializan cuando la tierra con sus aromas y esencias cae dentro de la estructura, embotellada en los vinos presentes en la bodega. El regreso del vino devuelve el alma de toda la estructura, en la historia de una historia hecha de respeto por las tradiciones pasadas, de la recuperación de las antiguas técnicas de vinificación, pero sobre todo de la mejora de la belleza y el poder que un producto 100% natural puede ofrecer. dar. Hoy en día, la bodega Frrud es un museo abierto al público en el que es imposible que la historia que cuentan los dos jóvenes no se mueva y que cualquiera de los objetos y productos de la estructura pueda verlos. No solo una visita, sino una emoción que comienza en la tierra viva y que, a través de la pasión de los dos niños, llega al corazón de todos.

Amazing experience. Paolo is knowledgeable and passionate about the work he and his business partner have done to restore a 16th century wine making cellar. You shouldn’t skip this experience! It’s a unique and unforgettable tour.

Amazing experience with Paolo Amazing project they have done to discover and restore this historic winery in heart of Altamura Their passion extends to present day with creating new ecological local wines , we sampled three of them in the wine cave , really enjoyed the tasting . Wine accompanied by focaccia , local bread, local burrata and other cheeses … a wonderful couple of hours and enjoyed chatting with Paolo and learning about the story and historic details , thanks Paolo and good luck with the future plans 🙌🏼🍷🧀

This was, from start to finish, excellent. If you're interested in wine, food or history (I enjoy all three) you'll love this tour. Paolo is knowledgeable and passionate - an excellent guide and host. The museum is a labour of love, this is obvious, and the wine is very tasty. The food paired with the wine is all local and very high quality... I honestly can't think of a better thing to do.
Absurd place nestled in the historic center of Altamura, must see. Paolo a truly magnificent person very prepared. Spectacular wine!!

It was a great experience, Paolo treated you like family. The tour is really relax with time for photos, explore everything and ask all the questions that you want. A treasure that is a must go if you are on the area. The wine tasting is at the cave where the wine was stored years ago with some aperitif and their own olive oil and because it is a small batch, it really a VIP experience. Really good flavors on the primitivo grape with enough body to store for a few years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!🍷
Beautiful discovery! Paolo guided us to explore the places but, even more, the people who lived there and the activities they carried out there. In addition to the blast from the past, it was very interesting to learn about the project behind the Cantina Ffrud and the plans for its future. The visit itself lasted about forty minutes and ended with an excellent tasting, of another forty minutes, based on wines related to the cellar and other (exquisite) local specialties. A further added value of this moment was the opportunity to chat with Paolo about these products and the "philosophy" behind the wines produced. A true model for preserving and Offering the territory and local traditions, projected to the future. Highly recommended.
