Durante este recorrido explorarás los lugares, plazas y edificios más importantes que aún representan los símbolos de la fuerte dominación de los Habsburgo en este territorio. Como próspero puerto marítimo en la región mediterránea, Trieste se convirtió de hecho en la cuarta ciudad más grande del Imperio austrohúngaro (después de Viena, Budapest y Praga). El recorrido a pie comenzará en el puerto de cruceros de Trieste, desde donde comenzará su caminata hacia la maravillosa Piazza Unità d'Italia ("plaza de la unificación italiana"), con su impresionante vista al mar y sus antiguos palacios. Luego visitará Borgo Teresiano y verá la Piazza della Borsa y el teatro dedicado al mundialmente famoso Giuseppe Verdi. Camine por el pintoresco Canal Grande y continúe su visita al Tergesteo hasta llegar al elegante Palazzo Gopcevich y al Palazzo Scaramagnà. My late mother was born in Vienna, so I am interested in all history pertaining to the Hapsburg Empire, which is why I chose this tour. I was not disappointed. Esther was a wonderful guide. I had just come off of an escorted group tour. By coincidence, Esther was also the guide for a walking tour of Jewish sites of interest in Trieste that I had with my group tour three days earlier. The two walking tours complimented each other nicely.

Can I give more than 5 stars? After oversleeping and missing our pickup time, this gentleman contacted me to see if I wanted to just go later than the original plan. That worked out perfectly because we were in the process of walking to the pickup point to see if we could see a group that we could join up with. I found out we had booked a private tour, so he modified the schedule to see whatever we wanted within the time we had left. We only had a short time in Trieste to explore what the area has to offer. I'm very glad we booked this tour with Faberest and would highly recommend them.
