Very disappointed by the communication elements of the trip, highlighted by the following: Pick-up time of 4.30am was only communicated the night before and upon our request several days prior. This was significantly earlier than the 5.40 am shown in the booking page. Pick-up was then late, by 45 minutes and we had no communication of this at all and no way to contact the guide themselves Itinerary not as advertised; expected to only go to Pamukkale and Hierapolis. Instead we had three additional unadvertised stops (Salda Lake with breakfast, onyx store & an additional stop for wine tasting / sale of wine and other Turkish delights) Tour guide had no control of the group, some were incapable of being on time and guide was incapable of corralling them even if they were in a known place, causing at least a cumulative 1 hour delay Overall the trip took 19hrs, 5 of which were due to the unexpected & unadvertised aspects. Overall very disappointed with the tour; Pamukkale and Hierapolis were beautiful and worth the time but the unexpected aspects of the trip were not.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your Pamukkale and Hierapolis tour did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication regarding the early pick-up time and for the delay on the day of the tour. We also understand your frustration with the unadvertised additional stops and the longer total duration of the trip. While these stops were intended to enrich the experience, we recognize that clear communication about them beforehand is essential, and we will work to make our itineraries and timing more transparent for future guests. We appreciate your kind words about Pamukkale and Hierapolis and hope that despite the issues, you were able to enjoy the beauty of these sites. Your feedback will help us improve our services and ensure a smoother experience for all future travelers. Warm regards, Tourmania Team
Pamukkale, hierapolis and Cleopatra's pool are in the same location. There is a common entry ticket for pamukalle and hierapolis but a seperate ticket is required for cleopetra's pool. First we visited the ruins of Hierapolis. The major attraction was the arena which was huge and would have been used for entertainment purposes. The next we walked to Pamukalle which was all white due to calcium carbonate deposit brought in by water. There were several ponds where one could stand as water would not be more than ankle high. The view was breathtaking. This is a natural formation and a world heritage UNESCO site. After spending time at Pamukalle we walked towards the cleopetra's pool. There is a myth that cleopetra used to take bath in the pool. The water in the pool has minerals and said to have healing properties. There is a seperate ticket to be bought to enter the pool. The locker facility is available for a refundable deposit. The pool is small and not deep except a small section. There are huge rocks in between where one can sit. Considering a very high entry ticket for cleopetra's pool, it could be avoided.
The whole experience was quite rewarding and informative. The tour guide shared regularly several information regarding the history of each place, answering every question. For me, the amount of time in Pamukkale and Hierapolis was enough (in my case, basically, it was enough for visiting the most important places and taking several photos)
We had a fantastic experience on the tour. Our guide Mrs. Sunay was exceptionally friendly, and the best part was everything being perfectly on time. It made the entire trip enjoyable and well-organized.
Very good tour with detailed information from the tour guide. Would recommend. Got to experience pamukkale and hierapolis with ease.
