¡Descubra la comida local, el vino y la (hola) historia detrás de la vida cotidiana del Mediterráneo catalán en esta visita guiada por la mañana! Comience su exploración culinaria de la Girona medieval en esta deliciosa visita guiada a pie "todo incluido" y vea los aspectos culturales más destacados de nuestra magnífica ciudad, mientras la prueba a su manera. De una manera divertida y educativa, nuestro apasionado guía gastronómico lo guiará por el casco antiguo, mostrándole las gemas ocultas y le contará las historias y leyendas detrás de la cultura, la comida y las tradiciones culinarias catalanas. Visitará el mercado local de alimentos bajo techo, las bulliciosas panaderías, los tradicionales restaurantes locales de gestión familiar y conocerá a productores de alimentos artesanales (¡algunos de ellos "en el negocio" durante más de 100 años!). Y por supuesto, no puedes irte de nuestro país sin degustar el manjar español Jamón Ibérico, maridado con una copa de cava bien fría. Finalizamos nuestro recorrido con un helado gourmet en Rocambolesc, la heladería más famosa de Girona de Jordi Roca.

El puente Peixateries Velles, también conocido como Puente Eiffel, es una construcción roja que se levanta en Girona, concretamente, sobre el río Onyar.

Marc was very friendly and engaging. He stayed in touch with me leading up to the tour. He provided clear directions about where to park. We enjoyed a blend of local history and amazing local food experiences. Not only did Marc provide the local flavors but also the stories behind them. We left full ans happy!! Great introduction to beautiful Girona!! He loves his city and family and is proud to share them.

10/10. This is a must do experience when you are in Girona. We booked directly with Girona Food Tours when I didn't see the date we were hoping for here. They were happy to accommodate us and since no one else booked that day, we ended up on a private tour with Marco for a small fee and it was worth every penny. Our family learned so much about Girona, its history and culture, Spain, and of course the food. So much great food. Marco was a fabulous guide who clearly loves what he does. The tour was fun and super educational, we ate great foods of all kinds, got to meet local shop owners and learn about their products and history, and of course experienced the beauty of Girona. We love taking a food tour when arriving in a new city and I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Learning from a local adds a whole other level of experiences to travel. When learning about our plans for our 5 night stay (stay several days in Girona!) Marco let us know our plans would not likely accomplish our goals as we just didn't know the ins and outs like a local does, and he offered to take us on a tour to the areas we wanted to see. Again, 10/10!! If you also want to see Medieval villages, a winery, ancient ruins, breath-taking views of the Costa Brava areas and spend time on the smaller coastal beaches, ask Marco about other private tour options. You will have an amazing time!

We had such an incredible tour! Coming into the region without knowing much about its history nor its cuisine did not matter. Marc, our tour guide blew us away with both! We learned so much about the region and the town. We had incredible food and Marc took it a step further with us and helped recommend other food in other nearby towns that we'd be going to later in the trip. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

Marc was a knowledgeable guide who led us through the city, providing historic and contemporary insights. We only had 24 hours in Girona and it was a great way to see the city, eat local food, and learn. Marc was flexible and super helpful when our travel plans changed. Would definitely do it again!

With 22 participants, a family, 3 generations, between 71 years and 3 months... You can stand on it. Marc offered a program full of stories and experiences for the youngest and at the same time informatively relaxed and delicious (!) for the adults. Top day!

What a wonderful experience. We were 12 golfers from Ireland. Gina was the perfect host, good fun, friendly and knowledgeable. We ate the most amazing food and drink very good wine. Everyone had a fabulous evening. We would highly recommend this for anyone who likes good company, great food and wine
