Great experience at the great wall and forbidden city. Also, the stunt was surprisingly very good. Keith was great.
Keith was very accommodating and helpful. The tour guide makes a huge difference and Keith was excellent. He went the "extra mile" to find and return a pair of sunglasses lost ny my daughter. Thank you!
This was the perfect two day trip in Beijing. It was well paced. Keith was our guide for the day at the Great Wall. He was top notch. Very informative and easy going. Super comfortable mini van. We had a good amount of time on the wall itself, two hours to do our own thing. Susie was our guide for the Forbidden City/Tiananmen Square day. She navigated us through the myriad of security checks and led us to the highlights, which took all of the guesswork out of where to go. Susie was so lovely, and went above and beyond with helping us book a restaurant for dinner. The lunches were excellent both days. You need a reasonable fitness level as there is a lot of walking. Avoid the optional tea ceremony, the tea is outrageously expensive. Would recommend this tour 10/10.
Despite travelling on the May holidays we managed to see all highlights coming before the main crowds. Wanted to mention Keith for excellent English and interesting stories.
Excellent, long days but worthy when you have few days to see Beijing. We enjoy the most spectacular places before the crowds for better pictures. Li, our tour guide on the first day was outstanding.
David was an amazing tour guide and person while touring the city sites of Beijing. He led us to the different areas providing us the background. He also took us shopping to a mall before taking us to see the wonderful acrobatic show (a must). He ensured the driver was waiting for us outside the theater to take us to our hotel. We accidentally left a piece of carry-on on the plane and had to deal with various areas at the airport (eventually lost & found). David contacted the Beijing Airport Lost and Found Department and helped locate our baggage and had it shipped to our hotel. He continually monitored the situation to ensure we received it. Unbelievable service and caring! Keith was a great guide showing us the Great Wall, Summer Palace and stadium. He provided us with a concise explanation of the various sites as he led us through them. We had excellent Chinese lunches both days. A great tour led by wonderful guides gave us a memorable experience. You cannot go wrong with this tour.
We did the two day tour and it was great. The transport was amazing and certainly an advantage to us as it was a holiday weekend and very busy. The sights were great and food yum. Keith our guide was fun and very informative.
We really enjoyed our trips. Since we started early, we could avoid the crowd. Our gudes Susie&Keith wete extremely good
Be prepared to have an amazing experience. Wear comfortable shoes and don’t forget a water bottle. The guides were knowledgeable and ordered amazing food for the group.
10/5 stars ⭐️! This was a perfect quick tour of the highlights in Beijing. We had Keith for the Great Wall and he nailed it on timing and history - taking us early to miss the crowds. We basically had the wall to ourselves! Loved the Summer Palace as well- beauty and history in one! On day 2, we had Susie and she was a gem! Despite the freezing cold weather and SNOW, she was cheerful and guided us through Tienenman Square, Forbidden City, and Temple of Heaven and took us to see an acrobats show! On both days we had an authentic Chinese lunch meal (which was excellent). Overall, the tours went better than imagined and I’m glad I did it! Thanks Kieth and Susie; I will be back! A few comments: 1. There is a 3-person minimum required for each day of the tour (it’s in the descriptions). The company was very communicative with us about this as we were only 2 people on the first day. Although it seemed a little suspicious, it was genuine and the other tourist and I ended up splitting the cost of the 3rd person to keep the first day tour. We had no regrets doing this and felt great getting basically a private tour! Just be mindful this may happen if you go on an unpopular day. However, they gave us alternatives (change days, refunds), and let us decide what we wanted to do. So, it’s not a scam! 2. Physical activity. I’m a very overweight person and damn near thought I was going to die on the HILL to the Great Wall entrance. However, I took my time and was not rushed by the guide and eventually made it. The steps are quite steep on the “easy path” of the tour. I was able to go at my own pace and walk for almost an hour on the wall. The second day of the tour was mostly flat except for the climb to the Fulan Pavilion to overlook the Forbidden City (290 meters high, almost 950 foot elevation). Again - I almost died! But it’s split into 3 stopping points for you to catch your breath (or simply stop at one of the lower pavillions). However, if you make it to the top, the view is literally worth the climb. All in, on each day I cleared about 18K steps (~12 km, almost 8 miles) of walking. But, if I can do it - you can too! Wear comfortable shoes with good cushions, watch your steps for the uneven path, and take your time and you WON’T regret it!
