Great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable: geology, history, botany. He knew where to see the animals in Etosha and we saw amazing things.

We had an incredible 10 days exploring Namibia. Wild Wind were very communicative in the build up to our trip and when Farid our guide collected us from the airport he was really helpful helping us get cash out and a SIM card sorted before we left. We couldn’t speak highly enough of Farid as a guide. His knowledge of the country, its history, the landscapes, the animals was all second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for him to organise and he is such a warm and friendly character. We will miss our singalongs in the car! This was our first time in Africa as a couple and thanks to Wild Wind it is a trip we will remember for all the right reasons. Thank you 🙏

This was an incredible and unforgettable experience, the trip exceeded my expectations in every aspect, that's what I want to share with fellow travellers. We were two senior ladies from Canada on our first ever trip to Africa. 1. Offered itinerary was thoroughly thought thru, it hit every point, wasn't rushed, addressed all our requests and concerns. Communication with Philip was easy, he responded promptly, clearly, and listened carefully to our requests. Top- notch organization and communication skills , thank you Philip 2. We've got an amazing guide Mevin Haraseb, caring and attentive, he looked after us literally like after his mother, noticing when we were tired or it was too hot to be out, adjusting the pace so we can relax at the lodges pools, helping with photography. He is an an excellent driver knowing every turn and shortcut, and we felt safe and comfortable with him on long drives on unpaved Namibian roads, in Damaraland, maneuvering around animals in Etosha. We were travelling in a very comfortable Toyota Hilux that can handle all the challenges. Mevin put exceptional efforts into our last minute request to visit Pelican Point( highly recommend). Thank you, Mevin, you rock! 3. All accommodations were very good, had all the amenities, including AC in the rooms, comfortable beds, etc Desert lodges were really outstanding, food was incredible with wide selection like in 4-star restaurant up to baked oysters in the middle of the desert. The trip was much more than just safari, it was an eye opener, and we fell in love with the country. Etosha was a cherry on top of course. Just returned from an incredible 10-day tour of Namibia! The itinerary was very interesting, the lodges were comfortable, and the food was excellent. A special thank you to our guide, Mevin Haraseb! He is a knowledgeable guide, a very caring person, and an excellent driver. He made the entire trip enjoyable, comfortable, and memorable. Be prepared for long drives on gravel roads, but the spectacular landscapes and incredible wildlife more than make up for the hours spent in the car. During the tour, we climbed Dune 45, visited Deadvlei and Sandwich Harbour, and saw an amazing variety of wildlife. Namibia is a beautiful and fascinating country, and this tour was a wonderful way to experience it. We came home with so many unforgettable memories!

If you like an adventure, this is the tour for you. I loved the remote news of the Skeleton Coast but hoped to see more shipwrecks and desert animals. Our guide, Lion, was excellent. Be prepared for many long days in the vehicle as Namibia is vast. The Himba village and Etosha were the highlights for me. I wish there was a 4.5 star rating because it deserves more than 4 stars but a few minor issues meant I couldn't give 5 stars. Altogether a very enjoyable trip.

It was an amazing experience for me, my husband and son. We saw so many beautiful and wonderful landmarks. The wildlife we saw was like nothing before. We had wonderful two guides that were really great at explaining everything.

Our guided tour with Wild Wind Safaris was perfect from start to finish. We contacted the operator directly to arrange a trip for my mother and I on short notice, and Leilani always responded promptly and professionally, accommodating all of our requests and questions and making the planning of our dream trip to Namibia completely seamless. If the experience started on such a positive note before we had even arrived, it only got better once the tour began. The itinerary includes a mix of gravel roads, paved roads, and off-road tracks, all explored in a comfortable 4x4 pickup, making the journey itself part of the adventure and allowing you to experience all the incredible landscapes and wildlife Namibia has to offer. Without a doubt, the highlight of the tour was our guide, Mr. Lion. We truly could not have hoped for a better guide. He was always punctual, attentive, and happy to accommodate any request, but above all he was passionate, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about his country, its people, its wildlife, and its culture. What makes him truly exceptional is his ability to share his love for Namibia through every explanation, making every stop even more meaningful. It is inspiring to meet someone who is so passionate about what he does. His enthusiasm is contagious, and by the end of the tour you are already thinking about returning to Namibia to discover everything you didn't have the chance to see the first time. Having him as a guide is, in itself, a reason to come back. This was truly a life-enriching experience, and I would recommend Wild Wind Safaris (and Mr. Lion😉) a thousand times over.

From the moment I was collected at Windhoek airport by our relaxed and smiling guide, I knew my trip was going to be wonderful. As a solo traveller, I had been a little anxious about choosing a safari company from the internet, but Wild Wind had such great reviews and Leilani in their Windhoek office was so quick and efficient to answer every email that any worries evaporated. I chose the 11-day Highlights of Namibia and enjoyed every minute. The car rides were sometimes long (Namibia is a big country) but the scenery was sensational, the car comfortable so you didn’t really notice the dirt roads and Mevin, our guide and driver extremely knowledgeable. He knew about geology, the birds and animals and the stars and was never phased by my millions of questions about everything to do with Namibia. He was also a very safe driver (extremely important) and had sensational eyesight so could spot animals from miles away even when they were just small dots in the landscape. The tour started with the red dunes at Sossusvlei. One of the most extraordinary places I have ever visited and then continued to Swakopmund where I was so pleased Mevin persuaded me to take the extra Combo activity of the Dolphin cruise and Sandwich Harbour excursion. Off-road driving on the dunes was not something I thought I would enjoy but it was thrilling and the views of the sand meeting the sea amazing. Tracking the desert elephants was also fascinating. We finally found them after a long drive over bumpy terrain – only to have one turn up at the lodge that night and pull up the water supply to my bedroom. Be careful what you look for! Visiting the tribes was interesting, but the highlight of this part of the tour was Etosha with the animals and the birds. There had been rain so we didn’t see many predators but that was totally compensated for by the rhinos, the birds and everything else. On the final night two rhinos fought at the waterhole. This was one of the most extraordinary things I have ever seen and will carry with me for ever. The lodges were comfortable and the food good. The best lodges were the Elegant Desert Lodge, the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge which you approach through huge rocks, and the Opuwo Country Lodge where the views were extraordinary. The lodge in Etosha was perhaps less good but it had the advantage of being inside the National Park which very few are, so it was perfect for night-time game viewing and had that waterhole with those rhinos. Would I change anything if I did it again? Not really – but I would have liked to have had another night in Opuwo and explored the vibrant town a bit more. I can thoroughly recommend Wild Wind Safaris who organised a great trip and very varied programme. I also highly recommend our wonderful driver and guide, Mevin, who made everything (including my new camera) so enjoyable and work so well.
