Fabio was very interesting, very intelligent so it made for an interesting couple of hours.
Thanks for the review! We're glad to see you had such an engaging experience with Fulvio (not Fabio ahahah). It sounds like he made your time together truly memorable with his intelligence and interesting personality.
We really enjoyed our food tour today with Fulvio. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites , he walked us around the streets we would never have found, all whilst trying delicious food. Even my fussy 13 year old son tried it all and enjoyed it. I would recommend this tour .
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the food tour with Fulvio and that he was able to show you hidden gems while sharing his knowledge. It's fantastic to know even your fussy 13-year-old son tried everything and had a great time. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience!
Knowledgeable local guide led us through an interesting maze of back streets from Genoa cathedral to waterfront and back. Basic foods, but interesting and fun. Recommend tour offer drinks at each of the 4 food stops - at a minimum water.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It sounds like you had a delightful tour exploring the charming back streets of Genoa, with a mix of local foods and fun moments. I’m glad you enjoyed the stops and the drinks included. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for more exploring and tasting adventures!
It’s not a meal but is filling. Good food choices. Wine questionable. Guide very knowledgeable and personable.
I cannot believe I paid $70 USD for this food tour. It was definitely not worth the price. The tour was completely disorganized. First, the company contacted me last minute to change the meeting location. It was only myself and a couple (who were very late) and I had to wait almost 20 minutes for the guide to even start the tour. Focaccia is a staple of Genoa, but was not included on the tour. I found out that the vendor the company uses went on vacation that week. The tour company did not replace the tasting or compensate in any way. The pesto tasting was disappointing and the wine tastings were even worse. It was two glasses of wine served at a restaurant (the red before the white). When I asked the guide see the bottles to know what I was drinking, I was made to feel that that was a ridiculous request. I had originally booked a different food tour, that cancelled due to a high wind warning. I regret going with this company instead. I would have been better off on my own.
Dear Cheryl, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience with our Guided Food Tour with Wine Tastings in Genoa. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. That day was an extraordinary case. Regarding the last-minute change of meeting location, we understand how frustrating such surprises can be, and we always strive to communicate promptly to minimize inconvenience, but it was not decided by us. We are also sorry about the delay and any inconvenience caused by the late arrival of other participants, but that was not our fault as well. Concerning the focaccia, Genoa’s culinary traditions are rich and varied, and we had planned to include a tasting of this local staple. Unfortunately, the vendor's vacation affected this part of the experience. We apologize for not being able to replace it on short notice and for any disappointment this caused. As for the wine tastings, our goal is to provide an authentic and enjoyable experience. We regret that the wine served did not meet your expectations. We always try to ensure transparency and encourage guests to inquire about the bottles; we apologize if you felt uncomfortable doing so. Your feedback helps us improve our service. We understand that your plans changed due to weather, and we’re sorry that your experience did not meet the high standards we aim for. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our tours. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance to showcase the best of Genoa’s food and wine scene.
An enjoyable blend of old Genoa walking history and periodic stops of seafood, pastry, and final wine tasting

It's wonderful to know that you appreciated the blend of Genoa's rich walking history with our delicious seafood, pastry stops, and final wine tasting. We hope to welcome you back soon for another memorable experience in this beautiful city!
This is not a food tour. Though the guide was knowledgeable of history, architecture and culture, the food component was severely lacking. For pesto, we stood outside a street stand and tasted small dabs of pesto on tiny pieces of stale bread. These were free samples given to anyone who walked up, tour or not. This tour is deceptively marketed. Should be sites/history tour with some snacks and a glass of wine.
Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your experience on the Guided Food Tour with Wine Tastings in Genoa. We appreciate your comments and are glad you found our guide knowledgeable about the history, architecture and culture of the city. We sincerely apologize for the perceived lack of food during the tour. Unfortunately, on the day of your visit, two of our food suppliers were unexpectedly closed and we only received this information that very morning. As a result, we had to quickly adapt the food component of the tour with two substitutions, which impacted the experience. Our intention is always to offer a genuine culinary experience alongside the cultural insights, and we regret that this situation did not meet your expectations. We will take your feedback into careful consideration to improve communication and the quality of the food tastings in the future. Thank you again for your honest review. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Genoa and provide a more fulfilling experience.
I had a wonderful tour with Fulvio! He was very knowledgeable of the history of Genova. The food at each stop was delicious, and the wine to finish the tour was superb!

It's wonderful to know you appreciated the delicious food stops and the superb wine at the end. We hope to welcome you back soon for more memorable moments in Genoa!
Genoa is a fabulous city and Fuglio was a lovely guide, which made the walk very enjoyable and interesting. Fried fish and semifreddo were the best stops, the foccacia was very filling. Would help if the food stops were more spread out.
We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed exploring Genoa and that Fuglio made your walking tour both enjoyable and informative. It’s great to know you loved the fried fish and semifreddo — two local favorites! We really appreciate your suggestion about spacing out the food stops; it’s valuable feedback that helps us improve the experience for future guests. We hope to welcome you again soon for another delicious adventure through Genoa
This tour could have been much better by having the tour guide get everyone at the port and walk them to the piazza area (less than a mile walk). Our group and another family were on this tour and taxis over charged us ($25) to take us less than a mile. It was very confusing where we were supposed to meet the tour guide and tour was almost 45 minutes late as we were all lost. The tour guide should have had a large sign with the name of the tour. Needless to say, the group was frustrated by the time we started. The tour guide herself was nice and she took us to some good places for tastings and taught us about the food. The seafood place and the gelato place was our favorite. I think we all would have rather walked off the ship at the port and explored the area ourselves. I would only recommend this tour if they had the guide meet you at the Genoa port.
