An excellent day. Highly recommend.
Theresa and Alessia were very knowledgeable and friendly. Pompei was incredible and Mt Vesuvius was amazing. Enrico was a great driver.
Guetamo was excellent as our tour guide. Once at Pompei, we had Mike and he was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to other people
Really fun and easy day trip! Pick up spot was one of the easier ones to find as it is right in front of a hotel. Our guide (Gaetano) was great at providing facts about Pompeii and Vesuvius and was quite funny too. Our driver (Lorenzo) was fantastic navigating the tricky road to the mountain. The meal was also phenomenal, as expected of Neapolitan pizza. Highly recommend this cool experience and look into history.
The tour was only partially provided. With a last-minute postponement of the start from 11:45 a.m. to 1:20 p.m., we were only driven to Pompeii and had a guided tour. According to the guide, the excursion to Mount Vesuvius with pizza is only included in the name of the booking and is not part of the tour. All participants on the tour were very disappointed, as everyone had booked Pompeii and Vesuvius. We will definitely contact the organizer and demand compensation. We traveled all the way from Germany to Naples to experience Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii.
We were very satisfied with the trip to Vesuvius & Pompeii. The start was a bit bumpy because we did not find our tour group at the designated hotel since several groups start here. Therefore, we can immediately highlight the service positively - we said by phone that we could not find the group and were then able to share our WhatsApp location and were very kindly found by Melania and brought to the bus which was already standing in the hustle and bustle. Big praise to our bus driver Nello who came to the edge again to pick us up and generally radiated an incredible calmness in the heavy traffic of Naples. First, Vesuvius was approached; here one could decide for oneself whether one would like to walk the approx. 40 min to the end or just look into the volcano halfway and take a photo. To take a pretty photo it is enough to walk a short distance; if one should walk to the end of the path, I recommend sturdy footwear. (The 1.5 hours that were scheduled were more than enough) Afterwards we ate pizza which was really good. The second destination was then Pompeii where we were handed over to Elena, she led us through Pompeii and provided us with all the important data and facts, told little anecdotes and answered questions. Pompeii is relatively large and without Elena we certainly would have missed something important. So it was the perfect mix to be on our own at Vesuvius and to get some help in Pompeii.
I booked the Pompeii and Vesuvius Full Guided Tour with HP Travel, and it was the highlight of my trip to Italy. Our tour leader and guide Melania was exceptionally organized, friendly, and deeply knowledgeable. The morning climb up Mount Vesuvius was breathtaking—seeing the crater up close is a must-do, After a delicious, fresh pizza lunch that kept us fueled up, we headed to Pompeii. Our guide in Pompeii was brilliant, informative, and interactive. They kept the history engaging for everyone and were very respectful and thoughtful when discussing sensitive parts of the ancient site. Transportation was smooth and comfortable in an air-conditioned vehicle, and everything ran right on schedule. A truly seamless way to see two iconic sights in one day. Highly recommended!
We had Martina and Antonio as our driver. Antonio was a beast on the roads and kept us safe in the crazy winding roads to Vesuvius. Martina split us into two groups at Pompeii and our tour guide there was fantastic. This is my second time to Pompeii and I didn’t see a single thing I saw the time before, but even still learned so much!
Nice guide. Well done! Picking up something chaotic, but just waiting for the hotel.
Alessia and Lorenzo were super friendly, and the tour was amazing, well organized and full of fun surprises, highly recommend!
