This tour should be first on your list when you visit Dublin!

As a born and bred Dub for over 50 years I thought I knew a lot about my home town but I was blown away the content that this tour provided. Our host, George was absolutely brilliant. Very engaging, entertaining and educating. I highly would recommend everyone from Dublin and afar should check out the Little Museum of Dublin!

Very well worth the visit to learn all about Dublin's history

Really good exhibits which gave a great sense of the history of Dublin. Very knowledgeable and fun guide (thanks Evan) who excelled in bringing it all to life.

Both energetic and full of care

I had an excellent experience, composed of two distinct parts: the famous guided tour and the new exhibition, You Can Leave At Any Time. The first part of my day was an engaging, humorous, and stimulating crash course in Dublin history given by Saul. Saul kept the tour moving at a clip, engaged everyone in the room (without putting anyone on the spot--don't worry!), and left us all knowing a good bit more about Dublin. The second part of my visit, You Can Leave At Any Time, was dramatically different in tone, as it contends with nearly a century of institutionalization and gender-based violence in Ireland. I was moved by the care extended by every single museum staff member, from Samia's warm greeting when I walked in to Fionn going beyond the extra mile to explain both the historical context of the piece and the particular history of how this exhibit came to be. Fionn took time and great care to prepare me for the experience, which has the potential to be challenging and uncomfortable, especially if you're not familiar with this particular history of violence. The exhibit, designed for an audience of one person at a time, introduces you to Mary Merritt, who bravely and generously shared her experience of surviving a Magdalene Laundry and a Mother and Baby Home and continued to fight on behalf of survivors and victims of institutionalized violence. I think this exhibit is essential viewing and highly recommend it if you are able to witness it. Mary Merritt gave Dublin a gift by sharing her life story, and the Little Museum is honoring that gift with its thoughtfully crafted design and exceptional staff.

Great morning 's entertainment

Having been to many museums/galleries/historical sights around the world, in terms of entertainment mixed with information, the Little Museum of Dublin is right up there as one of the best. Our guide Saul, even through in a bit of River Dance!10/10.

The One Museum In Dublin You Need to See

If you are ever in Dublin, one of the best tours in the city is the Little Museum of Dublin. A guided tour full of laughs, history, and staff that know their stuff. The length of the visit is about 30 minutes and you are wanting more. Definitely ask for Lisa as she makes the city come alive in the rooms and the history flies by. The artifacts are unique and provided insights that you won't find elsewhere. It is a definite 5 star stop.

A Must Experience!

If you're visiting Dublin, The Little Museum of Dublin's Famous Guided Tour is an absolute must! My only recommendation is to do it at the beginning of your trip rather than the end. We took the tour toward the end of our visit, and we realized how much richer the rest of our travels would have been with the incredible historical and cultural context we gained here. The highlight of the experience was our tour guide. She was absolutely A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! Not only was she exceptionally knowledgeable, but her talent as a performer brought Ireland's history to life in a way that was engaging, funny, and unforgettable. It felt more like watching a wonderful one-person show than sitting through a history lesson. The museum itself is fascinating, but it's the guided tour that makes this experience so special. We left with a much deeper appreciation for Dublin and Ireland. This is one attraction you should not miss. A+ experience!

A brilliant side quest into Dublin's quirkiness

This guided tour of Dublin's lesser known history was an absolute delight. Our guide Evan was wonderfully engaging and held our attention for the full 29 minutes. There was plenty to explore by ourselves after the guided tour as well. Thoroughly recommend

So much Dublin in one house!

First and foremost our tour guide Lisa was fantastic! Her presentation was excellent and she was genuinely cheerful. So much history packed into a small space, and so much to see. We went on a very hot day, and the climate control was uneven, but that’s to be expected for a Georgian townhouse in a city unused to 80+ degree weather. The tour was quicker than expected, but packed full of information. We didn’t enjoy the video presentation at the beginning of the tour. Too loud and hard to follow in a very confined space. I wish the tour group size had been smaller. The U2 room was great, and I want to reiterate that Lisa was five star worthy - the four stars reflect the other small negatives. Also, we were the final tour of the days and the staff in the little shop were happy to stay a little longer while we browsed for our purchases. Highly recommend!

A fun and quirky ride through Dublin’s history.

It was such a lighthearted and fun way to learn about the history of Dublin. Really well organised and all the guides were friendly, quirky and funny. Our guide Saul was brilliant! Really impressed with his performance and how he made everyone feel included. The jokes were cheesy but right up our street. Would definitely recommend visiting this museum with all the family.
