Abrió sus puertas en 1992 para albergar una de las grandes colecciones de arte contemporáneo español. A día de hoy es uno de los más visitados del país. La visita comienza en la entrada del museo, donde te reunirás con un guía profesional. Disfruta de un viaje por la historia del arte contemporáneo y descubre obras de grandes artistas españoles del siglo XX, como Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí y Joan Miró. Durante esta visita de una hora y media disfrutarás de obras tan importantes como “El Guernica” de Picasso, “Rostro del gran masturbador” de Salvador Dalí, “La mesa del músico” de Juan Gris y “Pintura - Caracol, mujer, flor, estrella” de Joan Miró.

Marta was fun and very well versed in the art!
It was very interesting and entertaining, a different visit since in addition to observing the artworks, we could relate the history that connects each of them. With a holistic and dynamic vision, I understood many of the paintings, the painters, and the history behind their creation.
Although it is an atypical museum and contemporary art is not our thing, Miguel, our guide, made sure we had an enjoyable experience and that our visit was not tedious.
This was a great tour and excellent tour guide. Ruben treated us to an enjoyable, educational and enlightening afternoon, explaining the history behind the art. We highly recommend Ruben!
Excellent experience at the Reina Sofía Museum. The visit was super interesting, dynamic, and very well explained. Juan Antonio made the tour very enjoyable, explaining the artworks in a clear and entertaining way, even for those who do not know much about art. It is evident that he is passionate about what he does and conveys a lot throughout the visit. Additionally, he had great energy and was attentive to all the questions from the group. The tour guide, Rubens, gave a great tour. He was punctual and led the tour in a great overview of the various art forms represented along with historical insights to bring it all together.
