This visit is a must do in Gdansk. Such a critical part of polish history…world history actually. The center/museum is so well done. We did the WWII Museum one day and this was next day. Poland has such important lessons for the world.
When we got to the center there was a lot of activity. We did not realize but today (8-31) marks the 45th anniversary of the Solidarity Movement. We could not identify the dignitaries present but the TV cameras were actively following them around. A stage was set up in the building and speeches were offered. The voice box you receive with the tour comes in 1.5- or 2.5-hour versions for your self guided tour. We took the longer program. Displays are on several floors and for the most part the descriptive information is offered in English and Polish. Well worth the time to visit and see what the Polish people went through to gain their independence from Communism.
An amazing tour. The guide was really nice and shared a lot of knowledge. Everything was as described. Would deffinitely recommend!
An amazing tour. The guide had a lot of knowledge and shared it with us in a way that was really interesting. Everything was as described. Would definitely recommend!
Guide was excellent in English. He explained every single detail and overall trip was very insteresting :). I do recommend this tour
I was with my family and we were in a bit of a rush. They provided a shortened, simplified audio guide geared towards children that got us through in about an hour and a half. This experience does a great job of teaching about Polish history during the communist era.
