Ingrid was simply amazing as a guide leader for our group. She picked us up bright and early at the hotel on time we drove to the rainforest she took us to the river for a nice swim and jumping off a short little ledger cliff, and then we went on a little hike. We went into the rainforest and she told about all the plants and fauna. This was at El Yunque National Forest. We hiked and saw the grand bano, last we stopped at the waterfall. On the way home, we stopped at a Roadside stand and had incredible pork rice and beans grilled chicken on a skewer. Overall is an incredible day.
Isaac was a great guide. As soon as he picked us up, he started giving us information about Puerto Rico and the rainforest. He was interesting and funny. He explained everything we would do, and then gave us information about the forest and wildlife at each activity. We were not sure about clothes or shoes to wear, but would definitely encourage wearing comfortable shoes and not sandles or flip flops. The swimming hole where we stopped was fun to see, but you don’t have to go in and so you don’t have to wear a bathing suit. As others have said, it was not a difficult trip, as the hike was not long, and fairly easy to walk. Overall, it was a great day.
This was a great introduction to El Yunque! Ingrid was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable about plants, fruits, creatures, and sites of the forest, and provided us info about cultural and social significance of these. If your interest is mostly to see several major sites in the forest, this tour is perfect! We hiked a bit in to stop at a swimming hole, got to go up the tower to see the views, walked around the old swimming hole, and stopped at a waterfall. I do wish we had done a bit more actual hiking of the forest, but I understand that many of the trails have been closed since Hurricane Maria. And this tour definitely felt more like an intro to the sites rather than an excursion into the forest. But I enjoyed it overall. For the price, it was a great visit. The food stand on the way back was also wonderful. And now I just have more of a reason to come back to explore more!
This was a great way to experience El Yunque, particularly for folks who are not looking to do much hiking. There were a few stops on the trip — first to a river swimming hole, then to two spots in the rainforest for pictures and views, and finally to a roadside restaurant. Our tour guide Ingrid was very kind and enthusiastic. If you are looking for an active hiking trip, this isn’t it! But if you want a light way to see the rainforest, this is a good option.
Ingrid was so knowledgeable about the rain forest flora and fauna. The river was very refreshing.
This was an awesome experience. The visit to the Yunque National Forest provided an opportunity to get to know more of Puerto Rico. The experience was made more extraordinary with Irwa, who was guid and driver of the tour. I appreciated hearing Irma's expression of the island, customs, folklore, and the Yunque National Forest. She knew the name of every single plant we saw, and the cultural purpose of it. I felt in love with Puerto Rico as a result of this guided tour.
Great time! Isaac was great guide! The whole trip was smooth and easy from pickup to drop off. Highly recommend!
The tour group was fantastic, punctual hotel pickup and drop off, ample seating, and friendly. The park was nice but a lot of its trails are closed or being repaired at this time. Views were lovely. Nice authentic roadside restaurant at the end
The forest is beautiful. The tour is an easy going tour, nothing much to impress but easy. Somehow i wish there was more nature walk into it.
The tour was great, our tour guide, Isaac was very informative and pleasant. I highly recommend this tour.
