Desde nuestro punto de encuentro en Praça do Comércio (Plaza del Comercio), verá lugares como el Ayuntamiento de Lisboa, la calle Augusta y su famoso Arco, el Elevador de Santa Justa, la Plaza Rossio, la Iglesia de São Domingos, el memorial judío, la Plaza y Monasterio de Carmo, Plaza Camões y mucho más.

Veremos Praça do Comércio, la plaza más grande de Lisboa y aprenderemos sobre el Gran Terremoto de Lisboa que destruyó alrededor del 80% de la ciudad.
Escuchará la historia del imponente arco de la calle Augusta, uno de los monumentos más famosos de Lisboa y lo que representa para la ciudad.
Visitaremos la Plaza Municipal, donde se encuentra el Ayuntamiento y aprenderemos sobre el final de la Monarquía de Portugal.
Caminaremos por la calle Augusta, la calle más importante de Lisboa y aprenderemos por qué el área se construyó como una cuadrícula.

We did a city walk under the guidance of Kate. Kate was friendly and involved. She has a lot of knowledge and tells animated and engaging. She has spirit and humor. We really enjoyed it! Walter was a captivating storyteller and an excellent guide. From the beginning of the tour to the end he used his knowledge (and imagination) to describe the importance of particular moments in the city’s history. Some of the history I didn’t know, for example hearing of the Jewish massacre was very moving and the sight of the Igreja de São Domingos an indelible memory. I may have felt a particular affinity with this tour because my own city was affected by a devastating earthquake a few years ago - nothing like Lisbon in the 18th century - but tragic all the same. I simply cannot speak highly enough of this tour and Walter. Right up there with the best.

Claudia was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and personable. She was also accommodating in her speed to the different fitness levels present on the tour. Very transparent about the injustices & colonialism Portugal has been involved in and how it is important to recognize this past while taking concrete steps to make the country more welcoming to all people. Also appreciated the local recommendations catered to the group’s needs.

Walter was our tour guide today. He was truly one of the best I've ever had. Very knowledgeable, and he didn't repeat himself. I learned a lot about Lisbon's history something I hoped to gain from the walking tour. I'll say for me one of the most thoughtful Parts at the end was how to get up to Chiado using escalators part of the way meaning I didn't have to climb a bunch of stairs. His tour goes in a nice pace and he even was nice enough to message me before the tour. Ask for Walter for a great tour.
