En el camino hacia el túnel, nuestros guías te darán una introducción, te mostrarán Sniper Alley, un memorial para niños brutalmente asesinados y otros objetos importantes relacionados con la guerra. Cuando lleguemos a todo el complejo del Museo, podrá pararse frente al gran mapa de Sarajevo que se encuentra bajo el sitio y obtener una imagen completa de dónde se encuentra el Túnel y escuchar sus historias. Después de los detalles Su guía turístico le presentará, prepárese para ver la película de 17 minutos de duración sobre el asedio y sobre el Túnel. Antes de volver a la ciudad, tendrás que caminar en el túnel durante 25 m, guardado como estaba originalmente, para experimentar la lucha. Cavado por ingeniosos y valientes ciudadanos de Sarajevo, el túnel era la única entrada y salida de la ciudad ocupada, y representaba la esperanza y la fuerza de su gente.

We were picked up nearby where we stayed. There were no others on the tour. A nice large van picked us up. We saw several buildings and monuments from the van. The guide talked to us and explained things the whole half hour drive. He then went to the tunnel museum with us and explained things more.

This is a small, independently run exhibit about a very powerful, real story. In only a matter of weeks a community came together to dig a tunnel to the airport to allow aid in to Sarajevo. Really glad we visited. Well worth your time. It’s difficult to get to without a car or a tour but we managed it. We just walked from our hotel near the airport as we were staying there for one night before flying home. Took about 45 mins and was pleasant. Go give this project some money. The family who owned the house at the time gave it up so this monument could be preserved and the incredible feat could be honoured. When you come to fly out of Sarajevo, you can see the house from the runway.

This museum is a tribute to the Bosnians who built a tunnel during the conflict with Serbians in 1990s. The actual tunnel that carried people from one side of town to the other is being refurbished so a simulated tunnel offered us the real experience of traveling through the tunnel. The other exhibits show weapons, office items, and photos of the conflict.

The visit was very interesting. In some rooms a video is shown that tells the story of the siege and the construction of the tunnel. The site is carefully preserved. There is also a book/gift shop. I suggest to reach it by car (it is far from the city center); there is a paid parking in front of the entrance.

EMINA KOSO, our guide, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the tunnel of hope! She picked us up from spirit tours, and dropped us off at our hotel, and during the drive she told us so many interesting stories and facts about the siege of Sarajevo. The tunnel of hope was sad of course, but also informative on a very complicated subject. It was great having a local guide to learn from, and we would definitely do another tour with Emina.
