The experience was great after I bought a ticket to the museum after being ripped off by Viator, I paid almost 200 for tour and optional museum which i learned meant the tour guide had our museum ticket, we were ghosted by the “tour guide” as we went to the listed 24 state street start point but there was no tour guide?? Everyone Ftom the uber driver to the statute of liberty tour guide which was there was telling us that memorial is another place, we waited and waited and eventually took uber to correct place spent more money and bought tickets there, I have used Viator in Chicago, New York and was planning on using it in Tennessee and Vegas lsyervtjis month and year but not now! I will never use this service again and I’m going to see what can be done to recoup my $180 and let everyone know what happened so other unsuspecting travelers don’t get caught in this scam. Additionally, I requested a refund after it was clear there was no tour beginning at that location and they did respond with a phone number to call …. Which was unreachable, thanks but no thanks to Viator
Martin was our tour guide. He was phenomenal. His knowledge of the history was incredible. if I could give more than 5 stars I would.
I was given tickets for the 9-11 museum and when I tried to use them the museum said they had already been used. I contacted viator and they said the vendor refused to provide a refund. The vendor attractions4us has horrible reviews online and would not use them. I am also aggravated that viator is sponsoring this company and then did not support me, I will not be using viator in the future.
Thank you for reaching out. We reviewed your booking, and it appears that you purchased the tour with the optional 9/11 Museum entry, but the museum ticket was not included in the option you selected. The Viator confirmation you received is valid for the tour itself — it is not a museum admission ticket. When purchasing, please make sure to select the option that includes 9/11 Museum entry if you wish to visit the museum. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a refund for tickets that were not part of the original purchase. We understand how this can be confusing and appreciate your feedback — we’ll make sure our listings clarify this more clearly for future guests.
Great Guide very insightful and knowledgeable and made the tour a personal experience for us both he deserves a pay rise.
Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We're so happy to hear that your guide made the tour insightful, personal, and memorable for you both. We agree — great guides make all the difference, and your kind words will definitely be shared with the team! Hope to see you on another tour soon!
I believe due to the actual 9/11 activities there was quite a bit of confusion I first scheduled our tour for 11:30 then was notified it was changed to 1:30 arrived but was told by police that it wasn’t opening until 3pm unfortunately had other plans later contacted the sales people to cancel or credit to today they said they couldn’t do that so that was a waste of $200.very very disappointing
We’re very sorry to hear about the confusion with your tour and completely understand how disappointing this must have been, especially with your other plans and the impact on your schedule. While we regret that the timing and cancellation options didn’t work out this time, we truly appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve communication and service for future guests. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a smoother and more enjoyable experience in the future.
Wonderful and informative tour. Our tour guide, Leanne Littlestone was extremely knowlegable and enthusiastic on the history of New York and 9/11. The pace was very good for us and the group (five in total) was kept together. Group size was perfect for the tour. I would recommend this tour and especially the tour guide to anyone visiting New York and wanting an insight into the city's history.
We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tour and that Leanne Littlestone made such a strong impression — her passion and knowledge truly shine through. It's great to know the pace and group size were just right for you, and we really appreciate your recommendation. We’d love to welcome you back anytime you’re in New York for more amazing experiences!
Nina was a wonderful guide who taught us some history on the way to the memorial. As an American, I felt I needed to see this memorial in my lifetime. I remember 9/11 but the museum brings back the feelings I had when it happened. Glad I went, will never forget.
Whole tour was great and the tour guide was a walking history book. Very well done. Thanks again! The entire family really enjoyed the tour.
Cesar was great. He lived in New York 30 years and had great insight to the city. Nice tour of the surrounding area before viewing the World Trade Center grounds. Learned lots of fun historical tidbits.
Simply bad! Booked through TUI Experiences, there was already some confusion in advance about when you should be where. The voucher lists various meeting points - when I asked, I was suddenly told that you could go straight to the museum, etc. I had booked 3 attractions in New York - but in the end I couldn't get into ANY of them. QR codes were missing and the provider was unreachable - neither for me nor for TUI. No one had ever seen a voucher like that on site and we were ultimately refused entry every time. Really poor - better to buy it directly on site, it's cheaper too. Pure rip-off.
