Outstanding. Easy to spend 4 to 5 hours taking it all in. Beefeater meet and greet was fantastic. Knowledeable
The guide was late to tour, meeting Spot highly unorganized - other companies were telling us where to wait. When our guide arrived she apologies for being “too late in pub night before due to football maths”. She told all the same stories as the beefeater. We booked early tour to guarantee early access and the regular queue was not that busy. Beefeater was great and entertaining- but basically re-told same stories from guide. I feel the guide stole his material, making beefeater presentation less impressive ( no fault of his own) . You only get 30 minute overview with beefeater- not walking thru entire property. Feel we way overpaid for experience delivered.
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the delayed start and any confusion at the meeting point. We state on the confirmations and meeting point reminders to look for the City Wonders signs or flag. We also appreciate your comments about the overlap between the guide's commentary and the Beefeater presentation. We'll share your feedback with our team to help improve the experience. Thank you again for your review, and we're glad to hear you enjoyed the Beefeater presentation.
This tour is short; 15 min presentation by the the guide (fair, at best), entrance to the tower is included, then a 15 min speach by the yeoman warder. At which point the tour guide dropped us off at the entrance to the Crown Jewels. Our experience was not great, the guide was late because the tour originates at Westminster and travels by boat to the Tower. The boat was late, so we got started late by 20 mins. For over $100/pp, this is not great value. Try the Rock 'n Roll Walking Tour - that was really fun.
Dear Thomas_L, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the delay at the start of your tour and for any frustration this caused. We would like to clarify that this specific tour is designed to include a guided overview, fast-track access, and the presentation by the Yeoman Warder, followed by free time for guests to explore the Crown Jewels and the rest of the Tower grounds at their own pace. We apologize if the tour format did not match what you were expecting. Your feedback regarding the pacing and value is very important to us, and we will share your comments with our operations team to help us continually review and improve our customer experience.
This is a scam. Do not book it. The first clue that this was not going to go as planned was the fact that we booked the “Tower of London & Crown Jewels with Beefeater Meet and Greet” tour, but when they started sending reminders, it was suddenly called the “Self-guided Tower of London & Crown Jewels with Beefeater Meet & Greet” tour. The guide who was supposed to meet us 15 minutes ahead of the start time showed up 10 minutes after start time… and it wasn’t even the tour guide. It was some guy who works for the company who stood there with the flag, talking on the phone and not acknowledging any of us in front of him or telling us what was happening. 30 minutes after we were supposed to have started, the tour guide showed up. She was double booked and wasn’t supposed to be our guide. But she called the boss and ended up taking us in. However, she did absolutely nothing except walk us inside the gates, drop us off, and walk right out. Even the Beefeater was surprised that the tour guide told us absolutely nothing about the Tower of London before leaving- he was kind enough to speak with us for 10 minutes and give us the history the tour guide should have. The guide volunteered that she’d talk to her boss about at least a partial refund because all the company truly did was hold our tickets hostage and walk us inside… but no. The company took all of that information and concluded that we do not qualify for a refund. This is a scam. Do not book it.
Dear Amanda_T, We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not live up to your expectations, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by the delay of our City Wonders guide. We would like to assure you that this is not a scam. As outlined on your booking voucher, this specific experience is designed as a self-guided ticket entry rather than a fully guided walking tour of the entire complex. The package includes a brief introduction from our guide, entry tickets, and a 15-minute meet-and-greet with a Beefeater. While our guide was unfortunately running late, we are glad they were still able to facilitate your entry and provide the introductory portion of the experience, and that you were able to enjoy your time with the Beefeater. However, we take your feedback regarding the communication and check-in process very seriously and will address this with our coordination team on the ground to ensure smoother operations moving forward. We appreciate your feedback and apologize again for the inconvenience.
We had a great time. Our guide got us in a great position to hear the beefeater and watch the ceremony.
Meeting point was hard to find & the guide was very detail-oriented. We broke away and looked at the facility with the crown jewels on our own; the facility is beautiful and highly recommended.
Experience was great. Very friendly and informative, Staff - We had Natalie as our guide before going into the Tower - she was lovely and her voice was good and clear. We met up with her an other visitors, she explained what woudl be happening and how we would arrive at the Tower Then Yeoman Warder Alex Macdonald as our meet and great Beefeater. The crowd size was just enough for us at this time. This was a very good service especially for us and very beneficial. My Husband has been unwell for three years and has complete memory loss - amnesia and his brain does not function well at the moment . To help him through we had been watching the Tower of London on the TV and this helped familiarise himself inside before we did the tour. Also entering before the general public it was easier for him to settle into the environment. We met up with Yeoman Warder Alex and he took us to Traitors Gate. He spoke exceptionally well, clearly, informative and knowledgeable. He was friendly and engaging. We were able to take as much time as needed to look around the Tower. A good tip given to us was do the Crown Jewels first and yes the ques get very long - not great in the hot sun. We talked again to Yeoman Warder Alex later in the day and explain the service we had from him was very valuable to us and appreciated his kindness and of course photographs were taken with him as a reminder. This experience was very good value for money and we would definitely recommend this services Thank you to all for a such a wonderful opportunity and great day.
Great value. A lot of info. Historical signicance stressed. Amazing sites of execution sites inside and outside
We had a wonderful guide. Loved her sense of humor. I liked that she was from London. She was very knowledgeable and made sure she answered our questions and enjoyed the tour
Get there early. Must see the Crown Jewels first because lines will be shorter. Request a Beefeater .
