Itinerario

This was a great experience! The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Our guide, Ursus, was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. It was a warm day the day of our tour, so be prepared with water and perhaps a personal fan, if you go in the Summer months. The heat made the earpiece slippery so hearing the audio was difficult at times, but despite that it was a great tour and I highly recommend.
Tour guide was great, the pace was perfect and the atmosphere was amazing. The actual breakfast was average at best but it’s hard to beat the setting inside the Vatican. Our guide had great and interesting facts to share that we would have missed on our own. Thank you.
Cosimo did a great job on our tour! He was fun, funny, and provided lots of great insights to the art and history at The Vatican. He did a great job of keeping the group together and moving efficiently without feeling rushed. Cosimo did a particularly good job of providing a breakdown of The Sistine Chapel before we viewed it. I'd recommend him to anyone!
This was our 3rd time visiting the Vatican and each time we have visited a little differently. This time we booked the VIP breakfast in the Vatican courtyard followed by a tour of the museum and Sistine chapel with entrance to the Basilica included. Eleonora was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide who maneuvered us through the crowded museum with ease. The breakfast left a little to be desired both in the food and also having to fight for our lives against bees and pigeons, but that isn’t on City Wonders. I just think on future trips we’d skip the breakfast and choose a different tour. This was our first time traveling here with our kids aged 15 and 10, so although this tour only hit the highlights of the museum (it’s SO huge!) that was ok with us as we knew our kids would not enjoy hours and hours walking around. We had plenty of time in the Sistine chapel, and then Eleonora got us into the Basilica where we toured on our own. Note that they DO offer other tours where you are guided through the basilica but we understood this tour didn’t include that and we were ok with that! If you want a guided tour of the Basilica, choose another option.
Anna was an amazing guide! She was very personable and knowledgeable and kept the group going smoothly and efficiently. My one complaint would be the ear pieces. They are very difficult to get them to stay on the ear.
Our guide Christian was very knowledgeable and passionate about the tour and provided an exceptional experience. Breakfast was tasty and a neat experience. Only thing I wish I knew beforehand is that the Vatican has several (13+ I think) museums and the tour can only accommodate going through a few of them or you’d be there for days. It definitely hit all the important parts we were looking to see but If there are specific parts that you want to see, you might want to plan a second timed entry for another day to get to experience more of the Vatican.
It was a wonderful tour made all the more delightful by our tour guide Francesca!
This was described as a breakfast at the Vatican and viewing of the galleries and chapel before the big crowds come in. We were very disappointed that it was incredibly crowded the entire time. Paying this fee did not deliver what we were hoping for. This was a very difficult experience because we paid for and expected a less crowded experience and instead we were headed around like crowded cattle.
Hi Tim_M, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. The Vatican Museums have become increasingly busy in recent years, and while breakfast tours provide one of the earliest entry times available, they unfortunately cannot guarantee empty galleries or a crowd-free experience and this is not in our tour description. On many days, there are multiple early-access groups entering at similar times, which is outside of our control. We appreciate your feedback and hope that, despite the crowds, you were still able to enjoy the extraordinary art and history of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
Fabulous and well organised tour taken my Marina, the perfect balance of art, interesting facts and humour from our experienced and professional guide. Group was a great size and mix of couples and other families. Highly recommend for families with teen children.
Preparing for the tour, I glanced at the reviews and saw a few negative ones first. Our experience was excellent. I think we had the best City Wonders guide, Silvia. She was amazing, knowledgeable. We learned a lot of interesting facts and stories. The breakfast was great--too much food I'd say.
