We had a great day climbing with Stone Adventures in early April. We booked with them again after climbing with Jaden last year - he was awesome and even followed up with tips when we decided to come back to Joshua Tree. Our guides this time, Jaden and Isabelle, were super friendly and encouraging. They took our big group to a spot with a wide variety of routes featuring different climbing styles and difficulty levels. They were efficient in getting ropes set up and we all got a ton of climbing in. Jaden and Isabelle were amazing with the four kids in our group, giving a safety orientation and tips when needed, and taking them on fun scrambles in the area while the adults climbed. We've really enjoyed the whole experience with Stone Adventures - good communication, family friendly vibe, great guides.
Thank you so much for the review! We had a great time climbing with you guys at Playhouse Rock! And We totally had a blast going on epic scramble adventures with the kids! Let us know next time you are visiting Joshua Tree National Park, we would live to climb with you again! -Jaden Wyszpolski
Our family had a fabulous day with Mason. He was so friendly, patient, great with our kids, and explained everything carefully. Not only did we feel 100% safe and comfortable with climbing and rappelling and navigating a very cool talus cave, but we had a blast doing it too. Thank you for an amazing day, Mason!
Brad was an amazing guide for all 5 of us beginners! He chose a space that would be in the shade. He was patient with our 7 and 13yo and even with our 3yo, although she in general was not interested in climbing. They did have all the equipment she needed though! Such a fun experience!
What a great day. Our guide (Annie) was amazing. It was three of us (two parents and 9 year old daughter). We all loved it. Annie was amazing with our daughter helping her be successful at the rock climbing as well as understanding it was not just about making it to the top but also improving and having fun along the way. We were very happy to have done the 6 hours. It really gave everyone a chance to spend as much time on the rock as they wanted and we were able to do multiple routs in a lovely un-trafficked part of the park.
We all had a blast and keep talking about it almost two weeks later. Our teens said it was the highlight of the trip and us parents couldn't agree more. The pitches were well thought out so that all of us could find climbs that fit their abilities from easy to difficult. We felt supported and challenged. Highly recommend.
We are beginners and went away with an amazing amount of knowledge and a big smile. Our guide Annie was patient with soulful energy. We can't wait to go and use them again.
It was amazing experience for our whole family. Alex and James are amazing people and incredible instructors. All my kids, from 7,12 and 13 yo enjoyed climbing and hiking and definitely ready for more of outdoor fun with Stone Adventures. My 7yo keeps asking when we can do rock climbing with James and Alex again.
