Recorra en bicicleta la región natural de Entre-Deux-Mers y descubra la campiña burguesa como pocos tienen la oportunidad de hacerlo: entre pueblos pintorescos, granjas de piedra y viñedos hasta donde alcanza la vista. A mitad de camino, disfrute de un almuerzo tipo picnic al estilo francés con vino. Su viaje culminará al acercarse al pueblo de Saint-Emilion, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, donde, en bicicleta eléctrica, pedaleará entre los viñedos y los castillos más prestigiosos de Saint-Emilion. Pequeño y discreto pueblo a las puertas de la región de Entre-deux-Mers, Bouillac le sumerge en la tranquilidad de la campiña de la Gironda. Aquí, los viñedos empiezan a modelar el paisaje, entre setos y casas de piedra rubia.
Enclavado a las puertas de la región de Entre-Deux-Mers, este encantador pueblo marca la transición entre la ciudad y el campo. Recorrerá tranquilos senderos y antiguas vías de ferrocarril, rodeado de naturaleza y viñedos. Pedaleará por el legendario carril bici Roger Lapébie, que serpentea entre bosques y pueblos, ofreciendo un entorno tranquilo y seguro en plena naturaleza. Puedes pedalear libremente, arrullado por el canto de los pájaros y el murmullo de las hojas.
Famoso por su pasado alfarero, Sadirac es un pueblo de raíces tradicionales. Su patrimonio rural y su paisaje ondulado son un anticipo del terruño que le espera más lejos. Aquí disfrutaremos de un momento gourmet con un picnic a la francesa, acompañado de vino y productos locales.
Créon, antigua ciudad fortificada inglesa, es hoy una agradable parada en el corazón de la región de Entre-deux-Mers. Podrá encontrarse con ciclistas, productores locales y lugareños bajo los soportales de la plaza central. Un ambiente cálido y auténtico.
Este tranquilo pueblo está impregnado de miles de años de historia. Enclavado entre viñedos y bosques, le guiará suavemente hacia un tesoro oculto del patrimonio de la Gironda. Desde aquí se divisan las majestuosas ruinas de la abadía de La Sauve-Majeure, una abadía benedictina que domina el paisaje. Fundada en el siglo XI, evoca el poder espiritual de la Edad Media. Las viñas se hacen más densas, el relieve más pronunciado: estás entrando en el mundo del vino. Daignac ofrece magníficas vistas de las laderas vitícolas y caminos bordeados de muros de piedra seca.
En el corazón de los viñedos, Grézillac invita a bajar el ritmo. Entre fincas vinícolas familiares e impresionantes vistas sobre los valles, el entorno es ideal para un picnic campestre a la sombra de los robles o en un claro.
¡Has llegado al río Dordoña! Branne es un animado pueblo ribereño. Aquí se siente la influencia del valle vinícola, con sus pequeñas tiendas, cafés y coloridos mercados. We had the best day cycling with Edwin from Bordeaux to St Emillion. Edwin was so knowledgeable about the city, region and it's wine and food. He took us on an absolutely beautiful route and he made us a carefully considered, beautiful lunch en route. Edwin kindly took lots of photos and videos along the way so we didn't have to worry about missing a moment of the experience. When we arrived at the vineyard Edwin went above and beyond to translate the tour for us as unfortunately on the day we visited there was not an English speaking tour running. The train ride back to Bordeaux rounded off the perfect day. I can't recommend this trip highly enough. It absolutely made our holiday and we'll never forget it.

This was a great day. Picked the e-Bike up in Bordeaux and was surprised that it was heavier than I expected. But that made no difference, as when you're riding, it's so smooth and feels as light as a feather. We started out cycling around the streets of Bordeaux, with our fabulous guide Edwin showing us several iconic sites. Traffic, pedestrians, and other cyclists made for a busy first hour, but take it slow; motorists, other cyclists and pedestrians are very tolerant and polite, catering for any clumsiness you (well, me) may have initially. I hadn't ridden a bike in years, but all good...you'll be fine! We soon left the traffic and entered a wonderfully serene bikeway. Several kms along the way, a lunch stop, where Edwin magically produced a delicious, rustic picnic, with, of course, a fine bottle of wine (red and white). Continued on another serene bikeway and got to St Emilion, where we toured and tasted some beautiful wines. St Emilion is amazing - full of history, and of course, wine! You'll get the train back to Bordeaux, Edwin will show you where the station is; a short 10 minute walk. A great day with Edwin, who is so accommodating and friendly. I definitely recommend Edwin and Gravel Explore for this day tour.

Such an incredible experience travelling through the French countryside. It’s not about the end but about the journey. Lunch was delicious, and the wine tasting was memorable. Landscapes, conviviality, culture and terroir, everything was there. Edwin was able to share his passion for gravel with us, a good discovery of this activity, accessible to all. A very nice walk in the vineyards with tasting at the castle. The return by train from Saint Emilion was very convenient
