I clarify that the scheduled tour was from Oriago to Padua. It was a very hot day and with a lack of water and therefore navigability, the boat tour concluded in Dolo. From Dolo to Stra by bus and then we chose not to continue to Padua but to take the suburban bus to Oriago. The guide was very skilled and helpful, but I believe the cost of the tour was not aligned with what could be seen.
A good part of the tour took place by bus due to the river level issues at departure and a blocked bridge before Malcontenta during the (short) navigation. We did not arrive in Venice as we had planned and were taken back by bus to Padua. The crew and the guide were very helpful, but the company did not communicate at all. The villas were beautiful, but everything else was disappointing.
The organization was perfect: from the welcome and throughout the trip, with continuous and thorough explanations and descriptions of the villas encountered and those visited, provided by the guide (Ms. Vanessa). The stop at the restaurant was excellent, and the schedule was respected. I personally consider the experience unique and fully satisfying my expectations.
Lovely day trip! It’s a long but interesting and relaxing boat journey. Our tour guide was charming, knowledgeable, and had very impressive language skills, giving the tour in three different languages. Would recommend the tour to anyone interested in architecture with the time to spend while in the Veneto Region.
I would say it's worth trying as it is culturally and scenically very interesting, but the experience is poor in terms of organization, from many points of view. Attention, there is no way to procure water or food along the way, I recommend bringing something with you. For the cost of the experience, there could be more comfort on board; offering a snack or a drink would be appreciated. If it is sunny, you will die of heat; in case of rain, everyone is closed inside: a canopy would be advisable. Moreover, the visits to the villas are of a very short duration compared to the navigation time, which is not clearly stated in the description on the site. The fact that the schedule is very tight does not allow enough time for the guide to best illustrate the villas. With some adjustments and precautions, it could really become an enjoyable experience.
Very hot, slow, long, and expensive boat trip with just three house visits. The guides are good and nice.
I already knew the Villas of the Riviera del Brenta, but navigation allows you to admire them from a new point of view. Very welcome the explanations of the guides, who have shown great knowledge and love for their work. Very friendly cabin crew, as well as the office workers who provided us with all the information for the return and assisted us in booking lunch. Organized trip in detail, I can only recommend it!!
The cruise with the Burchiello was a fascinating experience and rich in culture. The motorboat is modern and elegant, you sail slowly along the river, the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant accompanied by expert guides who tell the story of the sumptuous Venetian Villas that you meet along the way. Stops are well organized even lunch is of good quality and served with courtesy.
Very interesting experience, very good multilingual guides, excellent quality / price for a cruise that lasts the whole day with three stops with a visit to the three most important villas of the Riviera. Good lunch, very easy return thanks to the directions and the short distance that connects Padua to Venice (about forty minutes by train).
Experience far below expectations for the following reasons:delay of an hour and a half to departure with disruption of the entire trip. Overcrowding of the motor ship with people who have occupied without right the whole way the unnumbered place not allowing an important exchange for the vision of the landscape and villas. Visit of the last villa done at crazy speed (about 20 minutes). The only thing to save is the professionalism of the guide who tried to save the salvageable.
