Itinerario

We had a very insightful guide and wonderful experience! I would recommend this type of tour to anyone seeing the Vatican for the first time.
We had a great guide who was able to guide us through the very crowded areas, also gave an option for those who couldn’t claim a lot of stairs (which I appreciated considering my 80 year old father was with us and needed to use that method)
Great tour wonderful tour guide that knew a lot of information and shared a lot with the group. The group was not large and we all had our ear piece so you could hear her speak, she made eye contact and answered questions quickly. I felt a little rushed at times but it was so crowded I appreciated her pointing out the important things and sharing historical information( some I knew, much I’d forgotten & even new bits I learned). If I can suggest smaller ear peices for smaller ears like myself and daughters (who love history of art) that would make this tour a 5 star. One more thing on the side of the Viator tours, we missed our chance to see the Basilica of St. Peter’s & lost hard earned money. This part was not well explained and I read the tour information from top to bottom. O was very disappointed since we saved for this trip since 2021 and I wanted the tour of the church because when I came as a 25 yr old I was a poor student and couldn’t afford it then. I wanted to now share it with my daughters🥺. Even my husband was excited to see it. But this was a wonderful tour I don’t regret it, just wish I could have seen St Peters.
Save your money and just get a skip the line ticket directly from the Vatican site. While I understand Viator is a third party provider this tour was grossly mislabeled. The tour was supposed to start at 10:30. We were called the day prior and told it was moved to 11:30. This completely affected what we were able to see because we had another tour to follow. There was no reason for this. We met at a middle man tour site that essentially just brings you over to the Vatican. From there the we got our actual guide to give the tour. Because of this time change we could not see St. Peter’s Basilica. Our tour guide while knowledgeable was not the most pleasant person. I loved guided tours but this was not at all as advertised. You don’t need an intermediary company. Just get a self guided tour and fast pass tickets and you can be set.
Thanks for your advice 👏
First, I paid $102 for a ticket through Viator that that cost €44. The actual ticket was handed out at the Vatican when I checked in. The only benefit I received from Viator was that I did not have to wait in a line to buy a ticket. Other than that, I’m not sure what Viator added it to my experience. Secondly, we had an English speaking guide as promised. However, her Italian accent was so thick and the surrounding voices so loud, it was very difficult to understand her. She was very knowledgeable, but I missed 80% of her guided tour.
Hi This is our price and you see this before and buy, thank you
I do not recommend it at all, hire a tour with guide and upon arrival, we are told that the entrance. does not include guide and give us the basic of 25 euros when we pay 120 for each. We were charged for tickets to the basilica the day it was free!!!! In addition, they refuse to repay the corresponding amount on the grounds that Viator charges them commission, but the commission does take it into account with the ticket that I paid much more dearly not with the one they gave us. In short, I do not recommend this tour at all. We weren't the only ones it happened to.
Dear Participant We explained you everything. We couldn't manage the guide and for this reason we refunded you the 50% of the tour. Yet you gave us a bad review? We accepted our limitations and finally gave you a 50% refund, what more can we do to make you happy? You made the self guided tour, we couldn't manage the guide but you were able to visit the Vatican and we refunded you 50% of the money, yet you are unsatisfied. Thank you for your review but please don't spread any false news to others.
Tour guide did not wait for us even when we were early. We paid euros €360 and still this treatment so you can imagine. They probably scammed us by charging more and double booking the same tickets. Very disappointed with the service and the provider Fahad.
Dear Participant We are sorry to hear that. We try to provide the best service for our customers. We will investigate this issue with the guide we hired and we will make sure this incident will never happen again. Thank You Thank You
The Tour never happened. The tour guide was unresponsive, unreliable and unprofessional. I was thoroughly disappointed and embarrassed that I had this plan for a large family group booked and I was mislead into thinking it was going to happen. I asked the tour guide several times for confirmation and tickets and at the last moment the guide canceled the tour with no options left for us due to travel constraints.
Dear participant We are sorry for this situation. We tried our level best to manage the tour but we failed and we offered you an alternative time for rescheduling but you denied that so we had no other way to refund you and we refunded you the full amount but we are sorry for this situation. As we were approaching at the end of the year and some were on vacation, it was hard for us to manage everything but again we are sorry for this. Hope you understand. Thank you
Skipping the line is important, but once you get inside the Vatican, they have their own tour guides and the tour companies have no control over whether you get a great guide or a not. Also, know that you will likely have to walk to the Vatican from where you get your tickets (5-10min), as the tour companies selling these tours are not located right next to the Vatican. You can choose the least expensive 'skip the line' tour and have the same random chance of getting a great guide as those who paid nearly 200 euros. The Sistine is free. The Basilica is free. Most of the guides just point the way to those sites when it says "included" and they do not go with you. Everyone has headsets & tour guides narrate. Ours moved through the many Vatican museums, never pausing to see if anyone was stopping to take a picture or falling behind. Our tour was supposed to begin at 3p (so that we would have time to see the Basilica before it closed), and there were just 6 of us. It said that there would be no more than 20 people in the tour, so we were excited to have a small group. However, the guide held off starting our tour until nearly 4pm so that she could bulk up the tour to number 22 people, which unfortunately put us in the position where we were unable to see the Basilica at the end of the tour due to the late start. This left us highly disappointed.
Thank you for your advice
