Wonderful tour guide and tour! The Vasa ship is a must see when in Stockholm!!
Our tour was supposed to last about 2 hours. The same tour by another group lasted over 2 hours! Our tour guide, Andy was very nice and fairly knowledgeable. Unfortunately, it was his first time since initial guide was sick. Andy stated he had to do another tour in 1-1/2 hours. Our tour only lasted 70 minutes! I definitely did not get my money’s worth.
Our guide Alice was amazing. A self described “geek” (in a great way) knew so much about the history of the Vasa wreck but also shared information on Swedish history. Funny Charming and Delightful!
Ruined by adding German group to our English tour. This made the tour very fragmented and also took longer which meant we had to leave before the end of the tour. Very disappointing.
It began with our guide being a bit late. Then it was very late due to the other members of our tour who were late. Also, for whatever reason Viator did not have me listed as being on the tour even though I paid on line. I requested the tour to be in English. Our tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable, however, his native language was Spanish, which at times made him difficult to understand, and at times he had to ask another member in our group who was Spanish (and she requested to have the tour in Spanish although it was held in English) what the word in Spanish was in English. The tour was also very hard to hear as we kept running into other tour groups who were trying to talk over other tour groups. I was disappointed as I was so excited to learn about the Vasa. It would almost be better to do the self guided tour.
This experience was brilliant! The museum has so much to see and included some interactive displays. Wonderful guiding from Clement, who very ably managed our multinational tour group and ensured we all heard what he told us and saw everything he showed us. Clement knows so much about the Vasa and the history of the time it was built. He is clearly passionate about the story of the Vasa. Viator were also extremely helpful in assisting us with our need for a date change for our tour, which was accommodated thanks to their support in communicating with the tour company involved. Another great Viator experience for us.
It was an expensive round 1200 Skr for 2 people for 2 hours. We were there in good time (20 minutes before) but could not locate the guide, she was completely without a logo or other that showed she was a guide. It was only when I asked a group left outside that she went forward and presented herself. Booked an English tour but got an English/German guide. And it is obviously impressive that she can switch between 2 languages, but it meant that we got 1/2 tour, not always I discovered that she turned back to English so missed some of the story. The tour was also completed after about 1.5 hours. Not worth the money, and can NOT be recommended from here, take Vasas own guided tours that are included in the ticket.
Seeing the Vasa was incredible! What an amazing ship. The museum has created many different ways for visitors to learn about and appreciate the Vasa and its historical context. Fascinating!
It’s a must see Our tour guide was Daniela, try to book with her. Her passion for the Vasa and its history made the experience one we will never forget.
