El Valle de los Reyes es uno de los sitios arqueológicos más importantes del mundo y Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Escondida en los acantilados desérticos de la Ribera Occidental de Luxor, esta necrópolis real fue el lugar de descanso final de los faraones del Imperio Nuevo (1550-1070 a. C.). Aquí se han descubierto más de 60 tumbas reales, pertenecientes a gobernantes legendarios como Ramsés II, Seti I y Tutankamón. Cada tumba está bellamente decorada con pinturas murales de colores brillantes e inscripciones del Libro de los Muertos, diseñadas para guiar al rey en su viaje al más allá. Un boleto de entrada estándar incluye 3 tumbas, seleccionadas por las autoridades en rotación para preservarlas. Pick up from our hotel was on time and we were warmly greeted by the guide and driver. The car was spacious and clean. Our guide provided detailed explanations of every temple and tomb we visited giving us very interesting insights into ancient Egyptian religion and the various pharaohs and their relationships with each other. The statues, temple designs and hieroglyphics were all described very clearly, bringing the stories described by the wall paintings to life. A thoroughly enjoyable tour with a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Note that the temple and tomb visits require a lot of walking and stairs/ramps which are a challenge for persons with reduced mobility.

Overall,it was an unforgettable experience everything is planned and organised from the time they’ve picked us from the airport.
