Saldremos de Bari a las 8:30 de la mañana para pasar el día descubriendo tres joyas del Valle de Itria. Polignano a Mare es una ciudad costera famosa por sus escarpados acantilados y las aguas cristalinas del mar Adriático. El centro histórico, con sus calles estrechas, arcos y balcones repletos de flores, ofrece vistas a playas como Lama Monachile. Aquí haremos una parada de 2 horas y 30 minutos. Ostuni, la "Ciudad Blanca", se alza sobre una colina con vistas espectaculares, y su centro histórico es un laberinto de callejuelas donde las casas encaladas crean una atmósfera única. Les invitamos a aprovechar las 2,5 horas de las que disponen para degustar platos típicos de la zona. Finalmente, Locorotondo es famosa por su centro circular, las casas blancas adornadas con flores y los "cummerse", los típicos tejados inclinados. Desde aquí se puede disfrutar de una espléndida vista de los viñedos y olivares, famosos por sus vinos blancos locales. Haremos una parada en Locorotondo durante 1 hora y 30 minutos. Tras un día lleno de descubrimientos, regresaremos a Bari/Polignano a las 19:00 horas.

Polignano: Lugar de nacimiento del cantante Domenico Modugno, que se hizo famoso con su "Nel blu dipinto di blu", Polignano fascina con el centro histórico rico en huellas árabes, bizantinas, españolas y normandas, como los restos de las cuatro torres de defensa que rodeaban la parte antigua de la ciudad. Un mar cristalino y la roca bordada de impresionantes cavidades excavadas por el mar son las señas distintivas de Polignano a Mare, conocida como la "Perla del Adriático", a poco más de 30 km de Bari.
Ostuni, conocida como la “Ciudad Blanca”, es un encantador pueblo de Puglia que se eleva sobre una colina, ofreciendo vistas espectaculares sobre el campo circundante y el mar Adriático. Su característica principal es la arquitectura de sus casas, todas blanqueadas a cal, que le dan un aspecto único y encantador. En el centro de Ostuni, se erige majestuosa la Catedral de Santa María Assunta, una obra maestra de la arquitectura romano-gótica. La fachada de la iglesia, decorada con un magnífico rosetón, y el interior rico en frescos y detalles, representan uno de los lugares de culto más importantes de la ciudad. Desde la Catedral, se accede a una serie de calles que llevan a terrazas panorámicas desde las que se puede admirar una vista impresionante. En el corazón de Ostuni también se encuentra la Plaza de la Libertad, un animado punto de encuentro rodeado de cafés y restaurantes. En el campo circundante, es posible sumergirse en los olivos seculares que representan el corazón agrícola de la región.
Locorotondo: Es por derecho propio uno de los pueblos más bellos de Italia y ha sido galardonado con la Bandera Naranja por el Touring Club por la armonía de sus formas y la utilidad de su centro histórico. En particular, quedará fascinado por las espléndidas cabañas blancas, las estrechas calles pavimentadas con piedras locales (las "chianche") y los elegantes portales. Pero no sólo eso: otra peculiaridad de Locorotondo son las casas de forma geométrica regular y techo inclinado, este último formado por dos aguas de losas de piedra caliza, las "cummerse". Estas casas ahora están renovadas y se ofrecen a los visitantes en forma de hoteles muy extendidos.

The bus will.take you to the 3 villages and give you documentation for you to go and walk around. Comfortable bus.
Bus is always in time, way for the group. It clean, there are mineral water that you can buy in the bus. The guide is telling most important things about the villages… and sounds very pleasant music during the trip.
This was a non guided tour but it got you to great destinations without messing with trains and buses.
very good value for money,clean air conditioned tour bus,very well explained, driver tells you what time and place the pickup point is,you get decent amount of time to explore area/town,be aware,no tour guide...self guided tour, would recommend to everyone. Only drawback we had was 2 loud ladies who were late returning in bus at last town,made all of us wait 25min. I would suggest the bus driver give passengers 15min max grace period to be late if not contacted and given valid reason!
I would not call this a tour…it was merely bus transportation. A booklet was provided in your choice of language with instructions to download a map of the different cities however our phones were not functioning and we were left without any info. There was no guide, the driver could not speak English, and we were dropped off in a railway station without a word.
It is really hard to get to Ostuni by bus or train with convenient arrival and departure timing. So this tour was perfect. The drop off locations were convenient and easy to get back too. The time at each city was good, we had enough time to walk to every area we wanted and also to enjoy a meal or snack. The bus was comfortable and the driver was nice.
Polignano is a beautiful city. Unfortunately the information in the brochure for where to meet the bus was incorrect. However once they were contacted the information was quickly sent to us. Ostuni and Locorotondo were OK, but less time at these two places would be better. I am glad we visited these towns although the self tour was somewhat confusing. Seeing more of the area on the drive was very interesting. All in all it was an acceptable tour.
Nice day except for the music on the bus. The speaker was above us and it was too loud and scratchy noise from a bad station connection. Be sure to have a phone connection for directions to get back to the bus after out walking around. The views were beautiful and everything very interesting. Take a tuk tuk in Ostuni. You will see a lot more.
The organisation of this tour was excellent. Easy online booking and directions for the departure point in Bari. Despite the awful weather forecast (we bought a couple of ponchos on the bus - well used during the tour) the tour was really enjoyable. I might have preferred to visit Monopoli rather than Polignano (following Lolita Lobosco scenes) . The day was long but it was an excellent way of seeing a lot of Puglia in a short space of time without the hassle of driving, parking etc. The booklet and downloadable guide were useful but the pre-recorded commentary on the bus got a bit tedious and on this particular tour the sound system on the bus was poor - buzz at high volume and particularly bad when music was playing. Would I recommend this tour ? Definitely. And also the Alberobello and Matera tour which we did later in the week.
