Únase a la excursión de un día de Uzungöl que sale de Trabzon a las 10 : 00 AM, con recogida en su hotel o puntos de encuentro designados según su preferencia de reserva. Nuestra primera parada es el famoso taller de cuchillos de Sürmene, donde se puede ver la artesanía tradicional y comprar productos locales, antes de continuar hacia Uzungöl. Nos estamos moviendo para Uzungol Tour y hacer nuestra primera visita a una breve escapada de compras en Sürmene Knife Factory Outlet en la carretera.
Mientras continuamos nuestro viaje, también nos detenemos en una fábrica de té en el camino. Aquí, el personal de la fábrica explica el proceso de producción del té y comparte información sobre la elaboración del mejor té, lo que le brinda una visión más cercana de una de las tradiciones más importantes de la región del Mar Negro.
El viaje continúa a lo largo de la costa del Mar Negro hasta la ciudad de Of, antes de girar tierra adentro hacia el pintoresco Valle de Solaklı. Rodeado de casas de pueblo tradicionales en laderas empinadas, plantaciones de té y jardines de avellanas, llega a Uzungöl, uno de los destinos más populares de Trabzon, ubicado a 1.090 metros sobre el nivel del mar y conocido por sus densos bosques y paisaje dramático. Visite la terraza de observación de Uzungöl para obtener una vista panorámica del lago, seguido de la cascada artificial, construida para proteger el lago de inundaciones. Zenofon Tours was very organized and communicative (both through TripAdvisor and WhatsApp), which I appreciated very much. They agreed to pick us up at our hotel which was close to downtown but not technically on their list, so I appreciated that they agreed to do that for us. They also provided water. There were only four of us on the tour, and we had a driver only, not a driver and a guide, and the driver spoke a bit of English but didn't really accompany us or explain things very much, just kind of dropped us off and expected we would know what to do. First we stopped at a tourist shop that sold knives, which would have been a waste of time in my opinion if it hadn't been for the guy playing kerence and some wonderful Turkish elder ladies who started dancing. Then we went to the tea factory which was very cool (I really like tea) but the guys at the factory don't speak English, only Turkish (and possibly Arabic?) - thankfully one of my fellow travelers knew enough Turkish and English to fill us in. The drive to Uzungol was gorgeous and the view was stunning but there wasn't really anywhere to hike. The walk around the lake takes about 30-45 mins and was PACKED full of people so it was hard to walk freely. Maybe it would be less crowded in fall or spring. The viewing platform had a nice view but I think they could cut out the stop at the "waterfall" (aka a concrete dam-like structure that was only a few meters high) and just give us more time at the lake. The stop for lunch was a beautiful restaurant by the Black Sea but it ended up being VERY late in the day (3-4PM). The restaurant was on the pricier side and had a mandatory 10% service fee, but the view was absolutely gorgeous so I forgave it. Overall we're glad we did it.
