Ushuaia: Visita al Parque Nacional con Tren del fin del mundo

Comenzamos la excursión con el pick up por el hotel y nos dirigimos a la estación del famoso Tren del Fin del Mundo, un histórico ferrocarril que revive el antiguo recorrido de los presos de Ushuaia. A bordo de este tren de época, con locomotoras a vapor y amplios ventanales, disfrutarán de una experiencia única mientras atraviesan paisajes espectaculares como el serpenteante río Pipo, la cascada La Macarena y el bosque de lengas. Durante el recorrido, podrán conocer la historia de los antiguos prisioneros mediante un sistema de audio en varios idiomas, que permite comprender el valor histórico y cultural de este icónico paseo. Al finalizar el recorrido en tren, continuamos explorando el Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, una reserva natural de bosque subantártico. Tras recorrer sus pasarelas, regresamos a la ciudad de Ushuaia, completando una experiencia inolvidable que combina historia, naturaleza y paisajes únicos.

Itinerario
Saliendo de la ciudad de Ushuaia, en dirección sudoeste, transitaremos la ruta nacional Nro. 3, hacia el Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego. En los once kilómetros que separan la portada del parque de la ciudad de Ushuaia, nos detendremos en inmediaciones del Centro Hípico, donde tendremos excelentes vistas panorámicas del Canal Beagle, la península Ushuaia y los archipiélagos Bridges, Willie y Les Eclaireurs. Luego de cruzar el puente del Río Pipo, junto al Golf Club Ushuaia, llegaremos a la estación del Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino, el Tren del Fin del mundo.
El trencito, además de recorrer un camino pintoresco, cuenta la historia de los presos que cumplieron su pena en Ushuaia. Antiguamente, el tren partía desde el presidio y llegaba al Monte Susana donde los reclusos conseguían materiales para construir. Hoy, el recorrido comienza en la Estación del Fin del Mundo, a 8 kilómetros de la ciudad, y en una hora aproximadamente llega a la última estación ubicada cerca de la entrada del Parque Nacional. Si contratás una excursión previamente, los guías van a estar esperándote ahí para ir a recorrer el parque; sino, volvés en el trencito a la estación principal.

- La Excursión comienza cuando te pasamos a buscar por tu hotel en nuestro minibus con su chofer y un guía profesional de turismo de nuestra propia empresa. Nos vamos hacia el sur, a buscar esa famosa foto del fin de la ruta 3. Vamos a disfrutar del Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, el cual se encuentra ubicado a tan sólo 14 kilómetros de la ciudad de Ushuaia. La primer parada la hacemos en la Estación del Tren del Fin del Mundo. Allí tendrás la chance de hacer el recorrido de 60 minutos por los últimos 7 kms de la traza original de la famosa senda de los presos!! En el Tren del Fin del Mundo, vamos a revivir la historia en tiempo y espacio. Transitaremos el mismo camino que muchísimos años atrás recorrían los presos juntando leña. El paseo transcurre en un maravilloso escenario compuesto por bosque, ríos, turbales, y las ruinas de un asentamiento Yámana, los primeros nativos que habitaron la zona. También haremos una parada para que puedas apreciar la hermosa cascada Macarena, antes de ingresar al Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego.

Además podrá conocer sobre la historia del presidio y su tren que trasladaba a los presos por medio de un sistema de audio guía a bordo, con voces nativas en español, inglés, portugués, francés, italiano, alemán y chino. Todo esto en un tren que recuerda las épocas de oro del ferrocarril, cuando eran impulsados por imponentes locomotoras vapor, lo que nos traslada mas allá en el tiempo y en la historia.

Very punctual pick up. Amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable and nice. The train is something out of a fairytale and Tierra de Fuego National Park is beautiful. Very nice amenities in the park as well. Once in a lifetime experience.
This is a good tour...but...!Tierra del Fuego national park is stunning and a Must see, Ushuaia is a nice City(?), we were picked up and dropped off, great guide (sorry cant remember her name). But the train trip is a complete waste of time. The whole time could be better spent elsewhere, Between getting to the station for your allotted time a little early, ( we had to drive out of the park to catch the train back in!!!!), having to have your photo taken with jolly "prisoners", stopping 10 minutes down the track for another 30 minutes (and to buy your photo) and little in the way of scenery on the entire journey on an extremly cramped little train!!! Save time and money and avoid the train part.
The train ride is too beautiful, the train goes slowly in the middle of a beautiful landscape, quickly stops at Macarena station and follows to the National Park. The train is fully heated, with headphones to listen to the story with a choice of 7 languages (one of them Portuguese). On board are men fancied like the prisoners of old, super friendly and fun, take a photo before boarding that is offered at Macarena station, but unfortunately too expensive (20000 pesos which is equivalent to today almost 100 reais). In the park the passengers land and go to the park (compare the complete tour), the park has a beautiful view, but the visiting part is extremely small and narrow.
It's worth it and especially if you get the Regina guide to Patagonia Chic. Beautiful place to visit, views, history. Obligated place if you come to Ushiaia
The National Park is really a beauty, with its vegetation of ochre, yellow, reddish tones, the background with the Andes mountain range with its white peaks by the snow. Lapataia Bay where National Route number 3 ends, with its crystal clear lake. Admission to the place is paid at the entrance or by tourist agencies. Domestic retirees are discounted in the rate. You reach the train station at the end of the world, very well set, with a lot of organization and friendliness from the staff, who place all the tourists in the respective cars. These are small so I recommend not carrying backpacks or carry-on luggage, because it makes it difficult to sit comfortably during the tour. In this sense, there is an intermediate stop to observe a natural waterfall. At this station you can go down and do a low intensity trek and reach the waterfall. The meandering route is similar to the original train at the time of the Ushuaia Prison and the condemned people traveled to the forest in search of wood and firewood. It was worth coming and living the experience. There is a bilingual audio guide that explains the route and safety measures to consider to avoid accidents.
Arrived via Celebrity Eclipse. Took excursion via bus to the National Park then offloaded to a powered catamaran through Beagle Sound back to the port. Windy but beautiful. Loved it.
Great tour guide was doing the tour in two languages which is extremely hard. The trouble with this tour is the places were boring. Just not worth the money
A nice experience, by train, history and park, all beautiful. It was a success to hire our entire package with blue-latin travel and tourism.
The train is very friendly but very expensive for the benefit. The journey of the train takes one hour, which has to be discounted 20 minutes at the stop of the Macarena station which turns it into a photo shoot with people dressed up as prisoners. The other 40 minutes, all in slow motion, viewing beautiful landscapes. Draw your own conclusions
A worthwhile stop to the Terra Feuga National park. Lots of nature to see. Walk around the lake and stop over at the visitor center at Alakush. The tour also stop at the end of the world or Baia Lapataia. The last point of South America before entering Antarctica Magellan straits.
