Lisa was very knowledgeable about the Vaults and entertaining but not accommodating to the fact that I was in a wheelchair. Walked ahead to fast, didn’t make sure the group was together and said if you get lost or separated, basically tough. Tour did not explain the lengthily walk ahead of time to vaults not that you had to walk fast to keep up. Not recommended for people with walking issues or medical conditions that slow you down.
Ally was great! The tour was interesting and the history was cool, plus Ally had some good jokes and paced things very well. 5 stars for sure
As tour guides ourselves we throughly enjoyed James' entertaining tour of the underground caverns today. He really put theatrical art to his stories and his easy humour made one and all relax and take part in his antics, even poor Lucy who was picked out as the witch who lurked amongst us. Good fun and a highly recommended tour to take part in. Tony and Lizzie Gilks
Such a fascinating tour! Definitely recommend! Wish I could remember the name of our tour guide so I could give him a shout out!
Such a fun experience! Learned so much and also felt a little spooked (in a good way). Darren was such an amazing guide and always made sure to crack some jokes along the way. A perfect way to start off our trip in Edinburgh!
We loved our vault tour experience. Learned lots of interesting facts and our tour guide James was awesome!
Alex was absolutely amazing! Shared some incredible history with us whilst still being fun and personable, and the vaults and the buildings themselves were absolutely incredible. The vaults were also amazing for the spooky nature which added to the incredible history of Edinburgh. Absolutely recommend!
We have done this tour a few years back and had a lovely gent. Lots of ghost stories however, this tour guide was a lovely lady but, it was rushed and we felt we couldn't ask questions as it was so fast paced. Arrived at spot bang on 2pm and tour had already left, as it was the fringe, it was busy to navigate. We we're lucky enough to get onto the next tour. Not worth the nearly £90 for 1 adult and 3 children.
We were a couple of min late so ended up missing our tour time, so make sure you arrive 5/10 min early or you will miss out, lucky for us we managed to rebook for no extra cost onto the next tour. Jordan our tour guide, he was very good letting us all know the next place to meet while doing the street part of the tour. The Vaults themselves where I think amazing and Jordan was very informative and a good storyteller taking his time through each Vault. the lighting set the mood and I would definitely recommend doing this tour. There was steps in the vaults themselves however not to many compared to others and you do go up spiral stairs from street level before going into the vaults.
Really enjoyed the tour, Dom was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to see another side of Edinburgh.
