La playa de Balangan es una de las más famosas y pintorescas de Bali, con un hermoso tramo de medio kilómetro de arena dorada bordeada por acantilados de piedra caliza con vegetación y un arrecife con uno de los descansos más largos para zurdos de la isla. Este paraíso del surf atrae a ciclistas de todo el mundo, que disfrutan de la mayor parte de la costa sudoeste de Bukit, junto con las escapadas de Dreamland, Impossibles, Padang Padang, Suluban y Uluwatu, más al sur de Balangan.
El Templo de Uluwatu, o Pura Luhur Uluwatu, uno de los seis templos clave que se cree que son los pilares espirituales de Bali, es famoso por su magnífica ubicación, encaramado en un acantilado a unos 70 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Este templo también comparte los espléndidos fondos del atardecer como el del Templo de Tanah Lot, otro importante templo marino ubicado en las costas occidentales de la isla. Pura Luhur Uluwatu es definitivamente uno de los mejores lugares de la isla para disfrutar de las delicias de los atardeceres, con vistas directas al hermoso Océano Índico y espectáculos de danza diarios de Kecak. La arquitectura balinesa, las puertas de entrada de diseño tradicional y las antiguas esculturas se suman al atractivo del Templo de Uluwatu.
El baile de Kecak, o 'Tari Kecak', es un espectáculo de arte tradicional balinés cautivador, que también pasa por alto, 'el baile del canto de los monos' y el 'baile del fuego', por su uso ocasional del fuego como elemento central. El Kecak fue creado alrededor de 1930 y ahora es reconocido internacionalmente como uno de los tres bailes exclusivos de Bali (junto con el Barong y el Legong). El baile de Kecak es único porque no tiene otro fondo musical o acompañamiento además del canto de bailarines masculinos, entonando un coro polirítmico de "keh-chack" durante la mayor parte de la actuación. We had an amazing afternoon with Buddy from ForeverVacation on the Uluwatu & Kecak Dance Tour. Buddy was knowledgeable, welcoming, and made the drive enjoyable by sharing stories about Bali and its traditions. Uluwatu Temple was breathtaking, especially with the stunning ocean views at sunset. The Kecak Dance was unlike anything we’ve ever seen and was the perfect way to end the evening. Buddy made sure we had the best spots for photos and looked after us every step of the way. Dharma picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Uluwatu temple where he gave us a tour and educated us about the religious traditions and culture of the Balinese people. He helped us manage the mischievous monkeys who will quickly grab your glasses or cell phone. He gave us water and escorted us to the arena for a wonderful Kecak dance performance based on the Ramayana epic at the heart of the Hindu religion. It was great fun and a wonderful experience!

This tour was the perfect opportunity to experience the local culture, food, and beach! Aprio was our guide for the day and he even took us to some local shops to get small things and wine. The price was perfect to cover all of our expenses for the places we visited. We even had the best spot to watch the dance and it wasn't too crowded. Thank you to the team for a wonderful time!

The Kecak dance was a wonderful cultural experience and a highlight of our time in Bali. The performance was powerful, engaging, and truly unique. Tourist trap I don’t recommend, we could barely watch the dance, going on the top of the statue to see nothing. Unfortunately a tremendous waist of our time.

We just wanted to clarify that based on what you described, it seems you might have joined a different tour provider. For your reference, our Uluwatu Tour itinerary does not include a visit to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) or the top of the statue. Our tour focuses on visiting Uluwatu Temple and enjoying the famous Kecak Fire Dance performance, which takes place at a cliffside amphitheater overlooking the ocean, a completely different location from GWK. We always aim to provide a clear itinerary before booking, and you can also find detailed descriptions of all our tours on our official website and TripAdvisor page. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and had Mega for 3 different tours. He was the best guide and I highly recommend requesting him if you book with Forever Vacation. This was our final tour with Mega. He is very knowledgeable of the process to get tickets for the dance so we don’t have to stress at all. He gave us an informative tour of the temple and explained the culture to us as well as the various aspects of the temple. He waited for us after the dance was over so we didn’t get lost in the sea of people. He also always has water available for you and will make sure you are well hydrated. We greatly enjoyed our time with Mega. He was a joy to be around and made sure we were well taken care of. We miss him already!
