El Parque Nacional Udawalawe, el sexto santuario animal más grande de Sri Lanka, está ubicado a 180 km de Colombo, en el sector centro-sur de la isla. El parque está situado justo al sur de las Tierras Altas Centrales, cuya escarpadura crea un paisaje fascinante. El Parque Nacional Udawalawe, establecido en el año 1972 con el objetivo de proteger la zona de captación del embalse de Udawalawe, que proporciona agua para la agricultura y la generación de energía hidroeléctrica, se extiende sobre un área de 30.821 hectáreas similar a un parque de caza africano.

Comenzará su recorrido desde Mirissa a las 11:00 a.m. Su chofer lo recogerá de su hotel y lo llevará a Udawalawe. Llegará a Udawalawe a las 2:30 p. M., Diríjase al Parque Nacional de Udawalawe, donde se encontrará con su jeep safari para realizar un encantador safari en jeep. Disfruta de un safari de tres horas que te daría la oportunidad de explorar el increíble Parque Nacional Udawalawe. Awesome experience! Couldn’t recommend enough. We were picked up from our hotel in Weligama and had the 4 hour safari option. We saw over 75 elephants and lots of other wildlife.

Kani drove us to the park and he was fabulous. Janaka was our safari driver and he was excellent. Janaka could spot wildlife, especially birds, which enhanced our experience. The elephants were fun to watch. They are much smaller than African elephants, so we got really close to them. Lots of fun! Be ready for a bumpy ride.

It was a unique and beautiful experience! The organization went smoothly and especially my driver (Kani) was incredibly nice and helpful! Would book a tour or ride with him again at any time! The safari itself was also great. Experience elephants and other animals in the wild is a great experience. Under Safari Guide was also super friendly and was able to show us lots of animals and impart knowledge about them. An all-round successful day!

Super organized safari tour. Already after booking we received via WhatsApp the time of pickup at the hotel with additional information about car and driver. Our driver Suranga was on time. At Udawalawe National Park the jeep was already waiting for us. We had a private tour alone in the jeep. Our driver Darmasiri from Max Safari Villa drove us through the park, alerted us to the partially hidden animals, stopped long enough so that we could watch and photograph the animals in peace. In particular, he also took care not to disturb the animals. At the end of the tour our taxi with driver Suranga was already waiting for us and brought us back to our accommodation in Weligama. We can absolutely recommend the tour!
