Excellent tour and well worth the money. I really liked the format. It wasn’t just a walking tour—we started with a sit-down lunch, which gave everyone a chance to cool off and settle in while the guide introduced the history before heading out. Our guide, Frank, was a retired NYPD officer with over 20 years’ experience, and that gave the tour a level of authenticity that you don’t often get. Rather than simply repeating famous Mafia stories, he explained how organised crime developed in New York, the role of immigration, Prohibition, and how policing evolved over the decades. He mixed well-researched history with personal experiences from his time in the NYPD, which made the whole tour engaging and credible. The lunch was great, and finishing with a cannoli and coffee at Café Roma was a great touch. At $87, I thought it represented very good value considering the quality of the food, the length of the tour, and the depth of knowledge. I’d highly recommend it to anyone interested in New York history, even if you’re not a huge Mafia enthusiast.

Great tour! Fascinating overview of the history of organized crime in New York. Our guide, retired NYC dive team, was a wealth of knowledgeable and presented the information in an engaging style. The only criticism is that the group was close to 50. The guide was still easily heard and understood. The pasta at the start and cannoli at the end were perfect bookends to a great day.
