A fascinating look at Lithuanian history by focusing on 3 capitals—from the present, from an archaeological site with information from the first millennium BC to the 14th century AD, and a historical site from the 12-1300s.
Thank you for the wonderful review! I’m very happy you enjoyed discovering Lithuania’s history through Vilnius, Kernavė, and Trakai. It was a pleasure showing how the story of Lithuania developed across these unique places and different historical periods. Wishing you many more great travels!
🙌 I have no complaints about this trip, everything happened just perfectly (well maybe except the weather in April 🥲). That is what I and my friend expect - a historical & cultural panorama of one civilization.
Thank you so much, Xiaorui, for your kind words and recommendation! 🙌 It was truly a pleasure to guide you and your friend through Trakai, Kernavė, and Vilnius. I’m very glad to hear that the tour met your expectations and gave you a meaningful historical and cultural panorama of Lithuania. Yes, April weather can be a bit unpredictable 😄, but I’m happy it didn’t take away from your overall experience. You are always welcome back – there is still so much more to discover!
Interesting tour throughout with a lovely guide Mantas. All at our pace and plenty of time to see what we wanted to see. Highly recommend this tour to get out of the city for a while, then back in for places of interest.
Thank you, Claire, for your kind words! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Three Capitals tour with Mantas. It’s great to hear the pace and timing suited you well, giving you time both to explore outside the city and to discover Vilnius highlights. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Lithuania!
The operator Baltai Tours totally forgot about us. I know because usually, the tour operators (not Viator) send personal reminders the day before the scheduled tour. I did not receive any reminder from Baltai, just those reminders from Viator. The promised pick up time in the voucher is 9:00 am. We were at the meeting point Neringa Hotel at 8:45 am. We waited but no one came for us. It is so stressful! At 9:15 am I had to contact them by phone to find out what happened. Then they said that someone would pick us up at 10:15 am, without any apology at all. So we had to wait for one more hour! The tour guide they sent arrived in a car and we were given a private tour. The tour guide apologized for the mix up. It was a good sightseeing tour and the weather was nice. I would have given a higher rating if only we were picked up according to the schedule.
Dear MariaAngeli_R, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We deeply regret the confusion and delay with your scheduled pickup. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide, and we sincerely apologize for the stress and inconvenience caused. While we’re glad to hear that you ultimately enjoyed the tour and appreciated the guide and weather, we acknowledge that the missed communication and late pickup impacted your experience. We have since reviewed our internal processes to ensure all guests receive timely reminders and that such a situation does not happen again. We truly appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve. Should you visit Lithuania again, we would be happy to offer you a smoother and more seamless experience.
This was an excellent way to see some of the key sites of Lithuania. Our guide did a great job of explaining a lot of extra and interesting details.

Very nice guide. Learned a lot about Lithuania 🇱🇹 histories. I really enjoyed my trip. Visited 3 capitals. It’s was beautiful. Thank you Viator once again.

It’s wonderful that you found the sites beautiful and memorable. Your satisfaction means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you on another journey with Viator in the future. The tour was enjoyable but our tour guide was not attentive. Kernave is interesting. Trakai is beautiful.
Dear Maria_E, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent tour with Baltia Tour. We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed exploring Kernave and the beauty of Trakai. However, we are sorry to learn that the attentiveness of the guide did not meet your expectations. Providing our guests with a high level of attention and care is very important to us, and we appreciate your honest feedback as it helps us improve. We will address this with our team to ensure future experiences reflect our usual standards. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more attentive and enjoyable experience in the future. Best regards, Baltia Tour Team
Our driver/guide Cyrus did a great job customizing our experience for my 84 year-old mother’s limited mobility. His car was clean and comfortable. He shared his local knowledge and made excellent recommendations at each stop. The archaeological site at Kernave was so beautiful. We took a private boat tour for €20 at Trakai, also beautiful, and walked back to the mainland from the castle, which was a good option for us. Back in Vilnius, we walked around Cathedral Square and I climbed the Vilnius University bell tower. We got dropped off at the Museum of Occupation, closed on Mondays and were able to visit for an hour before they closed for the day on Sunday.
This was a pretty good tour. The weather was great and the sites weee interesting. The guide provided some general comments about each of the locations and some details about the history-but didn’t overwhelm with facts. When on a very limited timetable for your trip, this is a nice way to see a bit of the highlights around Vilnius. If you have more time in Lithuania, maybe consider exploring on your own
Great tour guide. We had already been in Vilnius a few days so had seen some of the sites in Vilnius itself already but he really brought them to life and we were shown things that we would never have known was there and found out some really interesting facts. Had a great day.
Thank you, we happy that guide Mantas did well!!!
