We were able to travel comfortably from our hotel on the east coast of Luxor through the temples of Horus and Kon Ombo to our hotel in downtown Aswan. The car was beautiful, and the driver, Mustafa, was driving with a crisp feeling of security. Time is tight. I'm glad I chose 👍✨

The car was very clean and comfortable. The driver was professional but did not understand English to the point of leaving me desperate for a toilet. Of course there are no clean toilets available between Esna and Edfu, but gas stations have cabins with holes in the ground known as toilets. Drivers may be good at driving, but essential English is advised. Plus, he was not on time (20 minutes late), and did not answer his phone. The number the company sent me the day before. When he showed up, I only understood 'sorry', 'my friend', 'last night'. When a driver accepts a service, the timing is to be respected. I think.

The transfer from Luxor to Aswan went smoothly and I arrived safely as a solo female traveller. It was a direct ride with no stops along the way and took a bit over four hours in total. The car was comfortable enough, the driver was on time, and there was a bottle of water and a bag of chips provided. The only downsides were the frequent attempts to cross-sell additional services and the Egyptian culture take the liberty to ask quite personal questions — which seems to be more common here than what I’m used to from Western service standards. Overall, I’d describe the experience as acceptable, comfortable enough and punctual, but with room for improvement in professionalism. But that’s with most Egyptian service, no offense. ;)

Before giving my opinion on the transfer between Luxor and Aswan, I would like to thank the agency “Eye of Egypt” for their dedication and expertise in the tourism industry. Eye of Egypt stepped in at the last minute to replace another agency whose driver failed to show up at the hotel, neither on time nor at all. Given the challenges of traveling freely from one city to another in Egypt, Eye of Egypt had to spend three hours negotiating to obtain the necessary permits. I cannot thank them enough for safely driving me across Egypt, along roads that passed through villages and towns (like Edfu), with a skilled, experienced, and attentive driver. He provided water and honey cakes, knew the route well, and managed the journey’s challenges with ease. He drove for five hours without showing any signs of fatigue. Road was not easy we have to slow down every 500m with lot of trafic detour and police stations. This agency is truly exceptional, and I cannot emphasize enough the kindness and professionalism of its team members. Thank you for your dedication to assisting a solo senior traveler. Chris
