Well Worth It!

Guiseppe provided an excellent experience with information on local customs and history. Since we did not have a vehicle, Guiseppe provided transportation. This enabled us to see and experience the culture more in depth. In short we were able to see more than we would have. Giuseppe’s knowledge of the area and locations visited enhanced the experience.

Great

Giuseppe was very informative and has lots of knowledge on the history and culture of the land. The buffaloes were interesting to see and Giuseppe also informed us haw the cheese was processed. Thanks Giuseppe for a great day.

Fantastic Buffalo Farm with the Best Guide - Giuseppe

Wow! Giuseppe is a special "super host" and guide. His knowledge of Cilento is the best! He knows all the places and the people. My wife and I went with Giuseppe to a buffalo farm (Barlotti) near Paestum. He walked us past the buffalos (most cannot do this), and taught us a lot about how they are raised and maintained. Giuseppe has worked on a buffalo farm himself (long ago) and has family who still operate such farms. Beyond that his knowledge of the historic archaeology of Paestum is excellent and as a guide for Paestum, Cilento history or just the entire Cilento region, you should hire Giuseppe without hesitation. Most important, he is genuinely a wonderful person who cares deeply for his clients and guests and wants to share his passion for Cilento and the Agropoli area with them.

A unique and special excursion!

Fantastic experience! Giuseppe is a friendly and knowledgable guide. He has both a strong local knowledge of the area, and a strong knowledge of history that make this tour incredible. We were picked up conveniently at the train station, and transported to the amazing destinations. The ceramic tour is unique and local, the buffalo experience is great, and Paestum with the museum was a hidden gem of archeology. What a great way to experience the area and culture of Cilento!

Highly recommended

We stayed at Giuseppe’s place and also went with him to a ceramics workshop. Giuseppe is a wonderful and very friendly person. He told us a lot about Agropoli and the surrounding area. He is very knowledgeable and knows many historical facts, but at the same time he is warm, open and interesting to talk to. We really enjoyed the ceramics shop and the workshop. There are many beautiful and authentic pieces made by a real artist. We had a great time and can truly recommend it.

Giuseppe Leone: the perfect host and guide!

Giuseppe is the perfect host and guide, I would give him 10 stars, if possible! Kind, knowledgeable, respectful: in the company of Giuseppe and his wife Natasha, we had a terrific day around the majestic temples of Paestum & other coastline attractions. Giuseppe can provide you with many interesting historical details about the region while listening carefully to your wishes and preferences. With Giuseppe, you don’t feel like a tourist but like an old friend and honoured guest. Very highly recommended.

Multi-talented tour host!!

I led a university study tour focusing on Italian agriculture in May 2025. Our group this year consisted of 11 university students and two faculty members. For my programs, I try to provide students with a balanced collection of activities related to agriculture and history/culture. Giuseppe was the perfect guide for our weekend in the Agropoli/Pasteum area, as he has an agricultural background but is also well educated in history and art. He arranged visits for us to two buffalo dairies, where we learned about local agricultural and food production and sampled milk, cheese, yogurt and ice cream at on-farm cafés in Pasteum. We also visited the Greek ruins there, where Giuseppe coordinated a very well-guided tour but also shared his knowledge of art and history with us as well. Giuseppe was a fantastic host for our weekend in Agropoli, arranging local transportation and multiple dinner reservations for our large group. A native of the area, he has many personal connections, and he is well-known in the community. Giuseppe also gave us excellent recommendations for social activities during the evenings and on Saturday, and even gave good advice on how best to travel to nearby Amalfi for some students who chose to spend their free time there. Having used him as a guide twice now, I consider Giuseppe a friend and someone I can count on the next time I return to his part of Italy.
