Why does one travel to Santiago de Compostela and take a private tour of the Cathedral? If the answer is to learn that St James, Jesus and apostles were all Palestinian and their fight continues today against Israel and Jews that just moved there 80 years ago this is a tour for you. Maybe guide of one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage sites should not proudly admit to having no knowledge of religion? Cathedral and library are must visit. You may want to skip sanctimonious and historically inaccurate lecture.
Maria was an excellent guide. She had a strong knowledge of the historical and religious history of both the town and the cathedral. Gave us some good tips for time on our own. Highly recommend her!
