Comenzamos con el recojida en su hotel,hostal,alojamiento o cualquiera que sea su locación. entre las entre las 7:30 am y las 8:00 am en un transporte con aire acondicionado Recogeremos a otros viajeros también. Debes tener paciencia porque el tráfico en algún momento es un problema. Disfrutaremos de un recorrido panorámico por la hermosa ciudad de Cartagena hasta tomar la ruta nacional autopista o Vía al Mar que comunica a Cartagena de Indias con Barranquilla rumbo zona rural del municipio de Santa Catalina, Bolívar apreciaremos el relieve del volcán de lodo y la Ciénaga del Totumo

Find a different tour operator to experience this tour with. I booked for 1pm tour and the day of the tour I received text message through WhatsApp that my reservation was changed to NOW at 8am because there were not enough participants for the afternoon tour (which would have been no problem had they given a short 24 hour notice.) I explained we were not ready at that time and that I would like a refund if we are unable to attend the 1pm tour. They then RECONFIRMED us for 1pm so we made sure we were ready. On our way to the pick up location I receive another message from the tour guide saying our tour had been canceled yet again. As I’m writing this review , a Viator agent is trying to assist with my refund . She contacted the tour operator and they disconnected her call. Now I have to wait 72 hours and hope they respond via email. This is a SCAM . DO NOT BOOK.

Good tour guides make all the difference and Milton our guide and Jesus our driver were great. They navigated police stops and all the service people at the volcano calmly and expertly. They were friendly and easygoing which made the experience so much better. The mud volcano itself was super interesting and unique. It is hard to describe the sensation of floating on the mud but it was very cool

We had a spectacular time. I booked the experience the day before, and was contacted by the company within the hour with the information about the meet-up time and location. Jennifer was a great guide from start to finish. Very diligent and attentive to everything we needed. The experience itself was unforgettable. I would recommend going in the AM tour, before it gets too crowded. We were lucky enough to be the first to arrive and had the experience practically to ourselves. Once we left, there were easily more than 50 people in line waiting. This tour is not meant for everyone. You need to climb up and down a set of steep stairs that get very slippery due to the mud, which may not be suited for kids or older adults.

The Tour Operator is very bad. They say that if we are late by 5 minutes we will be. Insiders a No Show. But they came 35 minutes late. The vehicle they sent was very old with non existent air conditioning. All 10 of us continued to roast. Very Poor Overall rating for the Tour Operator

We initially had trouble finding our bus/guide. We then called our guide, and after that, everything went smoothly. Along the way, we received all the important information we needed for the trip. My children and I would do the tour again anytime and can highly recommend our guide, Aisa, and our bus driver, Diego!

The tour was very well organized, and the guide Franklin, the driver Jesús and Diego with the resevation were all very professional and did a great job. After reading some of the reviews, I thought that the tour might be a little awkward, which was not the case at all. The people there who helped with washing, taking photos etc were helpful and we were just told that we could give a little tip at the end. Excpect a lot a of people there though, as the place is very touristy.

Good activity option if you don’t mind getting “dirty” and doing something popular for the area, mud bath. We had the best guide, Mike! I booked the morning excursion which was good because it was not crowded. Spent a good amount of time in the volcano and didn’t feel rushed. Mike organized the activity well, he identified the guys who would take pics and confirmed who wanted a massage (more like a gentle rub) so we didn’t have to navigate that. He also arranged so that any tips we wanted to give would be collected at the end by one person at our bus. This helped a great deal because you don’t feel compelled to tip each person differently and don’t feel the hassle of managing your cash while trying to enjoy the experience. After getting cleaned off and rinsed at the river we sat for a nice snack and a coke with some nice conversation. Also saw another smaller 30+ year old volcano.
