We had a great tour with Jefry! (I'm sorry if I spelled that wrong). I had good communication with Cesar prior to the tour via WhatsApp when I needed to change my pick up time. Jefry and the driver were on time and east to spot in their marked jeep. It's a 12 km hike with some difficult parts (as described on their website, you DO need to be in shape for hiking up some difficult terrain). While we saw tourists doing the hike on their own, we also came across ones that were lost and panicked. I 100% recommend doing the tour with a guide. There are some unmarked splits in the trail but most of all we learned SO MUCH from our guide about everything... The forest, the trees, ecosystems, farms, animals, Colombia... It was an amazing experience and having the luxury of just following someone and asking questions was priceless. Lunch was provided as well as the jeeps to/from and entrance fees so overall it was a really great deal. Thanks for a great day!
We enjoyed the hike very much but could have been more informed about the difficulty and conditions of the trail. It was extremely muddy and very rocky at the end. Our guide didn’t offer us water until we asked for it. It was beautiful but much longer than we expected
Went with Yiefry. His enthusiasm and knowledge about everything plant or bird added so much to our experience and learning. It made it more than just a walk and we were very happy we didn'T do on our own. Track can be a bit taxing when wet, so most definitely take the right shoes. Cocora Tours organised everything very well and were in touch with us beforehand. Quite a fair amount of the tour price goes into valley entrance fees which you will have to pay when you go by yourself. Highly recommend the trip.
This is a physically demanding long safari with plenty of uphills and (precarious) hanging bridges. The coffee and snacks provided once you get to the top were substandard for such a long walk. And a disposable rain poncho would have made a difference when it poured during the safari.
We had a pleasant time in this valley. The first part of the route is really nature and the second a little more open to the valley. There are some passages a bit difficult but the climb is definitely worth it. The guide explained a lot to us during the journey and we learned a lot.
Merci beaucoup pour votre aimable avis. Le terrain est un peu difficile par endroits, mais l'endroit est charmant.
Very good day spent with our guide Don Juan ! He explained us everything, about palm trees, plants and birds. He was very nice and kind. About the hike, you have to be in a good physical condition because it’s tough ! But I Recommend 100%.
Jeffery was a great guide! He knew a lot about all the plants and animals that we saw. Nice to have the private tour and go at your own pace. Would highly recommend!
Cesar was our guide and he provided not only basic knowledge about the region and landscape but also about birds and prior trips experiences. We ended up our 2024 with this hiking experience and we are grateful we did it with him. It is a very recommended experience.
We were in awe of Daniel’s passion and knowledge for the Cocora Valley and its nature and wildlife. He guided us through a 12k hike and was happy to go at whatever pace we needed. We enjoyed talking through the whole hike and came away having learned so much. The peaceful moments sitting watching the hummingbirds will be unforgettable. Would love to complete this circuit again one day.
Fantastic experience! It was a 12km hike but totally worth it. Nicholas was very nice and explained everything really well! He showed us lots of different birds! It was worth the 1km hike to see the Hummingbirds on the side. Very beautiful to watch the gorgeous hummingbirds. Nicholas was also kind and carried some of our things in his backpack! He also brought us snack and was really nice to work with. We ended our tour with an amazing lunch and we 100% recommend this experience. Part of the hike is intense but totally worth the experience!😊
