Tour Todo Incluido Cozumel El Cielo desde Cancún

On July 5, 2026, I booked the “Full Day Guided Experience to El Cielo at Cozumel” for July 7, 2026 through Booking.com phone app and paid $220USD in full. Before completing the purchase, the listing stated that a “Mandatory Dock and Reef Conservation Fee” was not included. However, it did notdisclose the amount of this fee prior to payment. Only after my booking was confirmed did I discover that the fee was 1,600 MXN per person, totaling 4,800 MXN for my family of three, payable in cash to the tour operator. I immediately attempted to contact Booking.com for assistance, but I was unable to reach a customer service representative and could only access an AI automated response. I also contacted the tour operator, who informed me that the issue was Booking.com’s responsibility and that I would still be required to pay the fee. The situation became much worse on the day of the excursion. After arriving in Playa del Carmen to board the ferry, the tour representative, Mauricio Cosey, who identified himself as being with Tours Suaste, confirmed that our reservation existed but claimed they did not see our full payment, and that the remaining balance is 4,800MXN to be paid now in cash!!! He proceeded to say that we’ve paid all the fees, however his company shows that we are still suppose to pay the remaining balance for this trip - that unless we paid an additional 4,800 MXN in cash immediately, we would not be allowed to participate in the tour. He then walked away, leaving my family stranded. My 10-year-old daughter was devastated and began crying because she had been looking forward to this experience. With no realistic alternative and already having traveled to the departure point, we felt pressured into paying $282 USD in cash to Mauricio Cosey and his colleague Ediel. Only after receiving this cash payment were we given our ferry tickets and permitted to join the tour. And that’s not all!!! After the tour was ended we were told that same bus will take us back to the hotel. The tour operator kept the whole group stranded at the taxi stop for 30 minutes, hid behind the taxi vans so he wouldn’t have to explain what’s happening - why the bus is not coming! After 35 minutes he finally came over to our group and said that „bus is coming”, but called a group of 4 to the taxi. After demanding more answers what is happening- he finally called my family and said to get into this van taxi to get us back to the hotel in Cancun!!! Total SCAM!!! Don’t book this trip - you will be screwed big time!!!

Service is good but the snorkeling place doesn’t have much fish to see. Disappointed on snorkeling. Food is salty and so so. We didn’t expect much about the food, overall it was average. I would save time do snorkeling in cancun or book something else

The experience was unforgettable. The guide and the assistance from Mr. Juan were very pleasant since they are bilingual, and I never had a problem with communication. Thank you so much, I will come back a thousand times more!!! Success, Juann!!

It was an overall good experience with some minor irregularities. The tour is offered inclusive of all taxes, but I had to pay tax to the guide anyway. I have asked the tour operator, Global Top Experience and Juan told me that there has been a mistake/misunderstanding and I have to pay the tax to the driver and I’ll get a refund from Tripadvisor. Problem solved. The boat tour to the reefs is very good. Captain Alfredo makes the best ceviche I have ever had. The crew is very helpful and service-minded. The drinks and snacks in the water at the end of the tour are amazing. Breakfast and lunch are included and are very good. I was the only not Spanish speaking person, so I felt a bit lost sometimes. The guide explained briefly in English and extensively in Spanish. Overall a good experience but a bit highly priced.

Tour is good and well organized, but the snorkel in Columbia Reef is too short. You just go around the boat for like 30 minutes, but don't have the possibility to explore much

The places visited exceeded my expectations, with enough time to enjoy and take pictures without rush. Very good food, very attentive crew, super recommended!

This is well worth the long day! We have taken many excursions in the area over the years and this was our favorite. The ferry to and from Cozumel that departed from Playa del Carmen had excellent live entertainment. Once we arrived in Cozumel the captain and mates on our boat were very attentive and made sure we all had a great time. The snorkeling was the best we have had in the area; beautiful clear blue water, tons of a variety of fish, starfish and even a manta ray. The food and drinks were great as well! It was a long day, but well worth it!

A charming island and full of good surprises, the family was delighted with this tour, they went for us to our hotel and transferred us to Playa del Carmen to take the ferry to the island, on the island includes a fun boat ride, the surprises come in each of our stop at the reefs in truth that we did not expect to see so many fish and rays, in the sky we saw literally a sea full of stars, the most beautiful interactive experience we have lived in a long time. Thank you truly for making our vacation unforgettable, to all the guides that assisted us I send you a big hug and thank you for your hard work.

Long day. Public transportation and not all on schedule. Bit disorganized and disappointing and costly for the activies

Overall, it was a very enjoyable day. The tour group that actually took us out on the water, Moxo Tours, was amazing. We were given a small sack lunch when we arrived to Playa Del Carmen, a snack of ceviche and fruit at our last of the 4 stops on the water, and then a meal at the restaurant on Cozumel after we were finished on the boat. We had about 45-60 minutes of free time at Playa Del Carmen and about 2-2.5 hours of free time on Cozumel. I only had 2 reasons for leaving 4 stars instead of 5: - The listing said all taxes and fees were included, but on the bus in the morning I had to pay 50 pesos for tax. You will need cash throughout the day, so this wasn’t an issue, but just make sure you are carrying some pesos. - The ground transportation was combined with another tour going further south, so we had to wait around quite a bit to meet back up with the bus and for all the extra pickups and drop offs.
