A truly wonderful experience thanks to our guide Rebecca. The day far exceeded our expectations, from the beginning we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The train ride and walk to the site was easily manageable and Rebecca made allowances for all members of the group as she did throughout the tour. A very interesting site, Rebecca gave us a wonderful insight, pointed out interesting places and put everything into context without overloading us with too much information. Highly recommend!
The Rome meeting site was clearly described and easy to find. We travel by commuter train with Joan, our guide, to Ostia. His tour was presented in a clear interesting format and we managed to see the highlights of this very large strategic and commercial archeological site that was several times the size of Pompei. After the tour we stayed on and visited the onsite museum. Our ticket also covered this entry. There are also several fine restaurants one can enjoy post tour between the Ostia site and local train station. This trip was a wonderful excursion.
This was an excellent experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about ancient Rome. The communication about where to meet was great. There was just a small group of eight, so it was quite personal. Our guide, Rebecca, was knowledgeable and friendly.

This is a must experience grounding in the development of Rome from the kingdom to the empire. No visitor to Rome with an interest in antiquities can afford to miss a tour of Ostia and there can be no-one better to guide you than Rebecca. Her enthusiasm is infectious and her knowledge contagious. For us, this was the benchmark for a small-group tour in Rome.

Our tour of Ostia Antica with Rebecca was outstanding. Her knowledge of the site was exceptional and and we learned so much of the settlement thru the various stages of the Roman Empire. Rebecca was an enthusiastic tour guide and brought us to unique sites in the ruins that one would not have found with out such a knowledgeable guide. An extra benefit was she was able to arrange to meet us at Ostia Antica ticket office , as our hotel was nearby saving us an extra trip into Rome . Rebecca was an outstanding tour guide of Ostia Antica. She was extremely knowledgeable and took us amazing out of the stops to view wonderful mosaics. She kept me informed as to the meeting point as we already staying at hotel near the site and did not need to go into Rome to meet the tour, an extra benefit of booking with her.
