“Donde todo comenzó”: En la colina de la Ciudad de David, muy por debajo del Muro de los Lamentos, nació la Ciudad de Jerusalén hace miles de años. Aquí es donde la Biblia y la arqueología se encuentran. Es un viaje fascinante a través de misterios del pasado, desde el Rey David hasta Jesús de Nazaret, que adquieren una nueva y emocionante dimensión, y una vista panorámica de la antigua Jerusalén, son solo parte de las experiencias que te esperan en el sitio. ¡Ven y descubre dónde nació Jerusalén!
El Muro Occidental es el lugar más cercano al "Santo de los Santos" del Monte del Templo para que los judíos oren y ha sido el centro de la oración, las esperanzas y los sueños judíos durante cientos de años. La santidad es apetecible.
Este museo es único en su ubicación: el sótano de un edificio residencial. Alberga los restos arqueológicos de opulentas villas del siglo I d. C., probablemente pertenecientes a sacerdotes que sirvieron en el Templo de Jerusalén. Lo más importante es que dieron testimonio de la destrucción de Jerusalén por los romanos en el año 70 d.C.
Esparcidos por todo el Barrio Judío se encuentran cápsulas arqueológicas del tiempo de su pasado antiguo y reciente. Exploraremos estos sitios y construiremos lentamente el rompecabezas que conforma la turbulenta historia de Jerusalén.
Comenzando en un observatorio en la azotea de toda la Ciudad Vieja y una hermosa vista panorámica de la Cúpula Dorada, exploraremos la conexión de Jerusalén con el Islam, caminaremos por el bazar árabe con su combinación de sitio y sonido, sabores y aromas. También es una oportunidad para que practiques tus habilidades de negociación, es, después de todo, el Medio Oriente.
El barrio cristiano tiene muchas iglesias y campanarios que representan el mundo polifacético del cristianismo, si el tiempo lo permite, visitaremos algunas "gemas secretas" esparcidas en sus callejones. Pero nos aseguraremos de detenernos en el lugar más importante de la cristiandad: la Iglesia del Santo Sepulcro.
La Iglesia del Santo Sepulcro es venerada por los cristianos de todo el mundo como uno de los posibles lugares para la Crucifixión y Resurrección de Jesús. Ubicado en el barrio cristiano de la Ciudad Vieja y administrado por las iglesias católica, ortodoxa, armenia y copta, muchos lo consideran "el sitio más importante de la cristiandad".
Originalmente construido por Herodes el Grande como su palacio privado en Jerusalén, que se convirtió en la sede del gobierno de los prefectos romanos, los reyes y reinas cristianos y musulmanes, el Museo de la Ciudadela es un tesoro de historia en capas. Sus galerías albergan hermosas exhibiciones de diferentes períodos históricos de la ciudad, su torre más alta tiene una impresionante vista de 360 grados de la ciudad vieja y nueva, y sus excavaciones recientes guardan el secreto de la posible ubicación del juicio de Jesús a manos de Poncio. Pilato.

I’ve traveled a great deal internationally, but I’ve never had such an outstanding experience like this one. We couldn't have had a better guide to Jerusalem. Uri Goldflam is not only an expert on the entire history of Israel and the city of Jerusalem but is able to teach us in a way that is easy to understand and retain the information. By the end of the tour, I understood why we started where we did. As the day progressed, I could see how it was tied together. From the topography, architecture, archeological sites, history of the faith, occupation of foreign governments, the destruction of and rebuilding of the city, Uri had a complete and comprehensive knowledge that he easily explained to us. At no point did I ever feel uncomfortable asking a question or asking for clarification. He also knows the best places to stop for lunch or a 😌 relaxing place to get an iced coffee. I can't wait to come back and hire Uri for other tours of Israel. This was educational, fun, and spiritual; everything and more I wanted out of our tour!!
