Por la mañana, un vehículo con aire acondicionado lo recogerá de su hotel en el centro de Luxor o del puerto para un viaje guiado completo de aproximadamente 5 horas. Primero serás transportado a la Necrópolis de Tebas, el Valle de los Reyes en Cisjordania de Luxor. Esta antigua necrópolis es una visita obligada para los viajeros de Luxor. Allí visita cuatro tumbas reales, incluida la Tumba de Ramsés, la Tumba de Horemheb, la Tumba de Merenptah y, por supuesto, la Tumba del Rey Tut. La tumba de Tutankamón es la única tumba en el Valle de los Reyes.
La tumba de Ramsés III, designada como KV 11, es un sistema complejo en el Valle de los Reyes. Se sabe desde la antigüedad, las maravillosas decoraciones incluyen coloridos relieves hundidos pintados con los textos rituales tradicionales (Letanía de Ra, Libro de puertas, etc.) y Ramsés ante los dioses. Tumba del rey Ramsés lX fue el tercer faraón de la XX Dinastía del Nuevo Reino del Antiguo Egipto. Su nombre antes de asumir la corona era Amonhirkhopshef. Fue el quinto hijo de Ramsés III y fue designado para el cargo de príncipe heredero en el año veintidós del reinado de su padre, cuando sus cuatro hermanos mayores fallecieron antes de su ascenso a príncipe heredero. La tumba tiene tanto color y detalle incluso el techo sobre los sarcófagos con su diosa Nut extendiéndose por el espacio. El sarcófago es uno de los más grandes del valle, aunque algunas de las pinturas se han deteriorado este es uno de los más decorados.
Después de visitar las tumbas, serás transportado al Templo de la Reina Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), la única mujer que ha reinado sobre Egipto como Faraón. Esta reina fue un antepasado del rey Tutankamón y perteneció a la misma dinastía.
En la mitología egipcia, Ptah es el demiurgo de Memphis, dios de los artesanos y arquitectos. En el o simplemente en su forma de halcón de la nueva deidad, comenzaron a colocarse en tumbas para acompañar y proteger a los muertos en su viaje al oeste de Luxor. La tumba 8, que se encuentra en el Valle de los Reyes, fue el entierro El lugar del faraón Merneptah y es el modelo de las tumbas reales. Merneptah era hijo de Ramsés II y de la reina Isis-Nofret. La tumba fue descubierta por Howard Carter en 1903. De hecho, hay una disminución sustancial en el número de cuartos laterales, y Aumento dramático en la altura de los pasillos y habitaciones. Hassan was an excellent guide! He provided a great 'big picture' look at Egyptian history that we found incredibly interesting.
