Su experimentado guía egiptólogo comenzará su exploración de Cisjordania de Luxor recogiéndolo en su hotel o en el crucero por el Nilo en un vehículo con aire acondicionado. Su primer destino será el famoso Valle de los Reyes, un sitio que tiene una gran importancia histórica. Dentro del valle, encontrará un total de 63 tumbas, cada una de las cuales cuenta una historia única del pasado antiguo de Egipto. Las tumbas reales de esta zona están adornadas con intrincadas representaciones de la mitología egipcia, que proporcionan información valiosa sobre las creencias de esa época.
A continuación, continuarás tu viaje hacia el magnífico Templo de la Reina Hatshepsut, también conocido como Deir el-Bahari. Se cree que la reina Hatshepsut, cuyo nombre se traduce como "La más destacada de las damas nobles", jugó un papel vital en el establecimiento de las primeras rutas comerciales en Egipto. La impresionante arquitectura y la importancia histórica del templo lo convierten en un sitio de visita obligada.
Luego, el recorrido lo llevará a los Colosos de Memnón, dos estatuas colosales talladas en piedra arenisca de cuarcita. Se cree que estas estatuas alguna vez custodiaron la entrada al templo conmemorativo de Amenhotep. La tumba de Tutankamón (KV62) fue descubierta en 1922 por el arqueólogo británico Howard Carter en el Valle de los Reyes cerca de Luxor, Egipto. Este fue un hallazgo arqueológico importante, ya que la tumba de Tutankamón fue una de las únicas tumbas reales del antiguo Egipto que se encontraron prácticamente intactas. Tutankamón fue un faraón de la dinastía XVIII que gobernó aproximadamente entre 1332 y 1323 a.C. Ascendió al trono cuando era niño y su reinado fue relativamente corto, sólo unos 9 años. La tumba contenía más de 5.000 artefactos, incluidos el sarcófago y los ataúdes de Tutankamón, muebles funerarios, carros, ropa, joyas y muchos otros tesoros. Muchos de estos artefactos se encuentran ahora en el Museo Egipcio de El Cairo y son atracciones importantes para los visitantes. La tumba estaba notablemente bien conservada en comparación con otras tumbas reales, que habían sido saqueadas a lo largo de los siglos. Nasser was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Egypt and its history. This was our first private tour and he put us at ease and looked after us well. He even accommodated a very short notice change of pick up location after we discovered our river cruise boat had docked somewhere other than expected. Ahmed is a good guide who knows his subject. He is patient and helpful and kindly took pictures of us at the different places of the visit. There was also a visit to a shop for a demonstration of stonemasons and we do not push you to buy.
