Itinerario
CONOCIENDO A NUESTRO GUÍA.

Our Delphi tour was one of the best of the trip! Our guide was so knowledgeable and gave us great history and context to the archeological site. She also whipped us through the museum with the perfect balance of highlighted information and a quick pace. We lingered around the archeological sites and learned so much from her. Thank you for pairing us with such a knowledgeable guide.

Efi was our tour guide. Private tour is the only way to go. She is from the area and relayed the history along with stories of her family interactions with Delphi. We thoroughly enjoyed our time learning about the ancient history of our civilization. We highly recommend this tour.

A wonderful way to understand this iconic site. My husband and I toured both the museum and the ruins. Our tour and tour guide were both excellent. Georgia was very knowledgeable and personal. The tour was a great pace. Georgia hit the highlights in the museum and the ruins, answered all our questions and provided us so many insights on Delphi

Delphi is amazing. However, two hours was not nearly enough. And this was a private tour! While our guide was fairly knowledgeable, she rushed past many exhibits, especially in the museum, where we wanted to learn more about specific exhibits and possibly linger a bit longer to take them in. We had very little time to simply soak in the serenity of the site. We were constantly on the move. In addition, the tour didn’t even include the stadium. I really wanted to show that to my wife. (It’s roped off anyway, so it would have been a minimal experience, considering the further climb involved. I’m of Greek ancestry, and visited Delphi once before, long ago, so I had quite a bit of interest in the details. Others would probably enjoy the tour, as it was. In addition, I was disappointed we could not tour the gymnasium and the balance of the ruins below. Again, they were closed. Another problem was our arrival. The guide was supposed to meet us outside the gate. No one (three of them) at the ticket booth had any idea what I was showing them, in the way of your emails, tickets and/or vouchers. The same applied at the entryway to the museum. That was a seriously distressful situation. Our guide was inside the museum, PAST the metal detector at the entrance!!! As excited as I was to visit again and share this site with my wife, it was a real let down for me.
Dear Michael, Thank you for your review. At the current time, the Stadium is closed due to risk of rockfall so it was not possible to see this during your visit so we understand your frustration but unfortunately this was not in our control. Our 2-Hour tour is a very standard time which thoroughly covers all the sites of both the Museum and Archaeological site at an easy pace with flexibility. Additional guiding time is not usually needed, but we would certainly have been happy to organise that for you beforehand if we knew you would need it. The other sites you mention which you visited years ago are not part of the main Archaeological site and closed to the public. They are at a significant distance and located much further down the slopes of the hillside in rough terrain. At times in the past (perhaps when you visited years ago and the site was much different) a part of these was accessible to the public without tickets, signs or safety, by following a rough rocky & steep path through common land. We would be remiss in our description if we said that we could visit these sites and our itinerary is clearly written. These are wonderful additional sites/excavations that we hope will be developed for the public in the future and when this happens, we will certainly be adding them to our tour. We also note that our guide communicated with you 20 minutes before your arrival and politely confirmed the meeting point (which is also clear in our description). We feel that you came expecting a tour based on your past visit years ago when you were able to just walk through land to see other areas (which are not now open) with more time, and that you seemed unhappy from the start. The current layout is much changed in the last years and also much improved, and this is what our tour is based on. We are sorry you did not read a little more carefully the description and enjoy more the site and our tour which should be and is a wonderful experience.
Georgia was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable. She made the visit to Delphi very special. She was very accommodating to our group and changing schedule
