Our tour guide was one of the best we ever had. His knowledge of the history and presentation were exceptional!
We loved this tour. Our guide Simone was top notch and covered alot of ground with us. Loved this tour!
Excellent tour overall. Meeting place was a bit confusing, in the center of a very busy foot traffic area with two separate access points, but once we found our guide, all was fine. Guide was very informative and enhanced the experience a great deal.
It was good and very interesting. I would have liked to have spent more time in Jewish quarter not some of it was closed
This was our last day in Barcelona. Fred was extremely informative and personable. My group of 9 friends enjoyed the experience and learned so much on this tour. We appreciated Fred and highly recommend this tour!
What a great a thorough tour of Barcelona. Montse was full of history and knowledge. She kept us engaged and moving efficiently. Once we finished with the main part of the tour we took the subway to Sagrada Família where our minds were blown by the sheer beauty of it. We have never seen anything like to before nor will we again. Great tour would highly recommend and would do it again and add some other sites to it.
Montse was our guide. As we went through the tour I had the impression that she and her family had been there for generations. She was so knowledgeable and interesting. I was so impressed with her and highly recommend.
Alan our tour guide was fantastic. So very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond by meeting us the following day to see some locations that were unexpectedly closed the day of our tour. He gave a fantastic tour. We got the real feel for the Jewish history of Barcelona. Highly recommend.
If there were a Noble Prize for tour guides, Valentina, one of the contract tour guides for Local Cool Tours in Barcelona would win. In fact, there would be no contest. Valentina, somehow, combines the knowledge of Barcelona (more thorough than Wikipedia’s) with the charm and graces and sense of humor of any of America’s late night talk show hosts. She is an Italian born actress but with numerous graduate degrees from universities in Spain. Her cross cultural knowledge allows her to intertwine her passion and love which is Spanish culture and philosophy and history and of course food. I must also mention that Valentina his few tricks up her sleeve in terms of culinary secrets on producing her variant on the national pastry, churros (a must try—dipped in hot melted chocolate—akin to dying and going to heaven). Valentina is a unique person and I can’t imagine any visitor to Barcelona not using here to gain once in a life insights. As they say in Spanish: Ella es major que perfecta.
Tour guide Valentina was amazing. She was a wealth of information navigating me through the Gothic District to every nook. She tied in Jewish history and culture into the big picture of Spanish culture. Felt relax and engaged the entire time. She was a true historian and wonderful tour guide.
